Mario Serra

Can’t wait to see your reaction to this one. I agree it is one of the best modern horror films out there.

Raptor

Oooo, this will be a fun one when I get home from work, lol

Lord Helmet

I can’t wait to see your reaction to this movie. This is my number one modern horror film, followed closely by IT.

Jane Mayers

Saw this in the cinema, the ambient bass was enough to give me goosebumps even if i didn't watch the movie, lol. For me this would be the close second after the movie Sinister. Imo the Insidious movies and Conjuring 2 was not as good as this, and the Nun was pretty bad, but still might be worth a watch.

Lord Helmet

Ok, just finished watching your reaction. I did not see this in the theater, but I did watch it in my home theater. That was scary enough for me. Loved your reaction to this movie.

JT King

I'm glad you watched this movie. I had to watch it this year for the first time, so should you. 😆

Brian's Dog

Great reaction! I've seen this movie a few times now and the jump scares still hit me like truck.

The other films are not in order, chronologically. They jump around the timeline of the hauntings and/or when the Warrens took on the cases. This is the Conjuring Universe in release order: The Conjuring (2013) Annabelle (2014) - good and creepy. earlier story about the doll (before the Warrens) based off the legend of the doll and not a confirmed true story. Wolves at the Door (2016) - never saw this one (its a spinoff with just the detective character from the Annabelle film, not exactly part of the Conjuring Universe) not based on a true story. EDIT: just saw it, not a haunting story, its a home invader story. The Conjuring 2 (2016) - one of those rare occurrences where the sequel is better if not just as good as the first. A well known and documented Warren case in England. Annabelle: Creation (2017) - prequel to Annabelle, okay backstory film (milking the franchise imho) NOT based off a true story. The Nun (2018) - i love love love The Nun, lol. Takes place before all the other films, timeline-wise. based off a legend and not a confirmed true story The Curse of La Llorona (2019) - didn't do great, wasn't marketed well (another spinoff story but with just the priest character from the Annabelle film, also not fully considered part of the Conjuring Universe) based of the one line in Annabelle the priest says when talking about a past case he did, lol. Not based off a real haunting but an old Mexican folktale. Annabelle Comes Home (2019) - I liked it. Not everyone did, though. Its was meant to open the door for more stories with the Warrens and the stories around the artifacts they procured. Not confirmed to be a real story itself. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) - did not do very well on release, overhyped and oversaturation with Insidious, Sinister, and Paranormal Activity series imho. (not a spoiler because this was how the film was marketed and it isn't actually about the court case but the story the court case is about) This one is based off THE most famous case the actual Warrens did because this is where they were called upon to testify in court about a possession, which made them very famous in the news papers of the time. The Nun 2 (2023) - i loved it. I think the Nun storyline is really the best part of this cinematic universe. 4 yrs after The Nun, before Annabelle but after Annabelle: Creation. Sequel to the legend, not confirmed to be a true story. Future project for 2025? - The Conjuring: Last Rites (rumored to be a finale of sorts) There was also talk of doing a film for "The Crooked Man" but it got cancelled and picked up by the people that do Hellboy. Hellboy: The Crooked Man (2024) just came out in theaters, recently. Its pretty good and has a Conjuring feel with the character of Hellboy in it, instead of a Hellboy feel with a Conjuring character in it.

Joe Mallard

This movie was filmed where I live.
