One of my favorite Tarantino flicks, the opening is one of the best ever imo, thanks Viki

I just realized Goebell's French interpreter is the French phone woman from Kill Bill.

This was a very timely pick considering certain goings on right now. I fear for my safety because of people that have been emboldened. A movie where they lose violently is just what I need right now.

Thanks, V, for your enthusiastic reaction to "Inglourious Basterds". I like Christoph Waltz' performance here and in "Django Unchained". The latter character initially comes off as, 'it's not personal, it's strictly business', but later we see that he has deeper moral convictions. Daniel Brühl can be pretty method-like in his research, too. He spent time as a guest of the late Niki Lauda in preparation for his portrayal of Lauda in Ron Howard's "Rush", in order to perfect the Austrian accent of the German language and to learn Lauda's speech patterns and mannerisms before shooting began. Speaking of actors portraying Adolf Hitler, Sir Alec Guinness played the Nazi führer in a film just a few years before his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in "Star Wars".

So YouTube's algorithm suddenly recommended to me this random bit of young Christoph singing on Austrian television from 1977, and since I know you LOVE HIM, I thought I'd send it your way V in case you haven't seen it before. I sure hadn't. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zY1Aa7vb8-c&ab_channel=NewKidzFromTheBlog

Anyone notice one of Hitler's officers was Werner from Better Call Saul? Like 24 minutes in? No, just me?
