Me go crazy? Never! (Patreon)

I am currently living at my parents house for the week and taking care of their cats. It’s a surreal feeling because last year when I had to do this it was one of the worst weeks of my life. Cats would wake me up three or four times every night, I couldn’t leave the house because my grandmother lived in the basement and was very sick, and I was basically an alcoholic.

This year things are vastly different, and it’s honestly just put me in a weirdly introspective mood.

My grandmother has since passed away, and I am currently curled up in the same bed I last saw her in. The basement she once lived in, has now been converted into an Airbnb and over the past few days, it’s become a quiet place to be alone with my thoughts (and away from the annoying cats).

All of these weird existential things keep running through my head, but I find myself embracing them rather than fearing them. I’m just feeling very grateful for everything in my life right now I’m grateful for the good stuff, I’m grateful for the bad stuff, I’m grateful for the things that have happened, and I’m grateful for the things that will happen.

I know this is one of the weirdest posts I’ve ever made but… Would it be too much to say that I’m feeling grateful again?
