So this explains why people started upgrading but I want you all to know that I am not the one sending these out. I don’t know if Patreon does it automatically but it looks like I can’t turn it off. I never want to make people feel like they need to upgrade and I’m sorry to anyone who is getting these emails. I genuinely and deeply appreciate EVERY Single one of you and I’m pretty annoyed about this.

Anyway, sorry again, just know it’s not me!

When I started getting them, I thought it was more solicitation for me to upgrade. But then I thought maybe it was some sort of glitch in that people on a different level we're supposed to get these and somehow I was getting in them or something. I wouldn't blame you however, Michael!

David Pasteelnick

I was wondering. Smart on their part and good for you!

Timothy Oliver-Grow

I'm also a creator, do you use desktop or post through the app? If you don't use desktop, I see something there that may be the culprit. PM me if you want to discuss it.

Michael Shoultz

I believe the settings for emails are done on our end, per creator, so not a universal setting.

michaelhamm

I can’t find anything about it online other than creators complaining they can’t change it

Jocko Ak-shan

I get it, and I didn't take any offense from it. You even said that's not your thing and I believe you.

I’ve been getting these emails from Patreon on the behalf of other creators I support. Even for creators I formerly supported too. There is probably something in the settings on my end I need to turn off

Ashley Saine

I’m actually getting emails about the comments people are leaving on your posts - I think Patreon is going through something right now 😂 😭

I would be far more willing to upgrade if I had a better idea of what was behind those blurry images. The titles are suggestive and interesting though.

Matt Gibson

I was getting those for a creator I used to follow, because after I unsubscribed it made me a "free" subscriber. It took a WHILE of ferreting around but I was able to unsubscribe from the "free" subscription

Syll

Yes, we do have a setting that can turn these "paid posts" off from our end, and it is per creator, confirmed. But, it does appear you have to be below the "paid posts" level to receive them because I did not.

VaruTaru

I mean I’d love to get behind that paywall but I am le broke

Ben

Yeah, I figured it was Patreon's doing. It not only didn't feel like something you'd do; but there weren't any misspelled words so I knew it was a bot. ;-)

I’ve been a member for a long time… I started recently getting these messages too. I can barely see any posts now.

michaelhamm

Is that true? You can barely any posts? Can you send me a message because that doesn’t make any sense at all
