I like the idea of this story, but I have to say the way the lips are drawn in these panels is slightly off putting. The lack of a defined outline makes it look like they're really smeared on, like they have a herpes rash. From a distance Shego here looks like they have a thick black mustache. The forms and story are all on point but now that I noticed the lips I can't unnotice it.

I just remembered, the cartoon itself did in fact have really thick upper lips on a lot of the characters; I'm just not sure if it's translating correctly. The last few panels here where the lips have a white shine on them look fantastic, for instance.

The highly exaggerated black top lip is a staple of shego, clearly somebody didn’t watch the show. Otherwise you’d already know it kinda looks like a moustache sometimes. Also “herpes rash” nobody else has thought this. Are you talking or suggesting that from personal experience?

I just wanted to weigh in quickly and say that I think you nailed it 😊 The lipstick of characters in Kim Possible were styled like that, and I thought you did a really awesome job realising and adapting it!

The lipstick in the cartoon was indeed thicker on the top lip, but also didn't have the blurred edges seen here. It was a cartoon, it had flat colouring but it also had defined edges and boundaries. On this art there is a blur effect that gives it an unsettling edge.
