In Chapter 45 of Lori's Story, Michael made the incredibly tough decision of taking full responsibility (through silence) for going missing, even though it was completely 100% Isabella's fault. In doing so, he shielded Isabella from any consequences of her reckless decision to kidnap him...at least for now!

I'm curious...what would you have done if you were in Michael's position? I would love to hear your reasoning, too...ESPECIALLY if you pick Option #3 or #4!

Option #3 - admit to getting kidnapped but change the details: immediately covered by hand, stuffed in sock, then dumped in dark room nearby mouse trap, but say that because of the darkness, no idea who took me

Tattle on Isabella for kidnapping you and stand your ground, even if it becomes your word against hers”, the reasoning would stem from the idea of facing the truth head-on, no matter how difficult it might be. By telling Lori what really happened, Michael would be taking full accountability for his own actions and standing up for what’s right. This choice would reflect a desire for transparency and honesty, even at the cost of potentially causing conflict or pain in the short term. By standing his ground, Michael would be asserting his own sense of justice, ensuring that Isabella isn’t allowed to get away with her reckless behavior.

Option 1, but ask Lori to go into the bathroom first. Try to tell her what happened in private without Isabella being able to see, but plead with Lori not to punish Isabella or let her know that Lori knows the truth. Easier when you have more time than Michael to think about it though!
