Oh I can't wait for you to see the next episode, another TVD masterpiece. I hate how Valery is giving Damon all the blame for things that are out of his control, when she is the one that has been selfish, by keeping the secret of the transfer spell for three years to get close to Stefan an to keep him away from Caroline. Damon have been figure out things, fixing , things, taking care of bad situations since season one. IT took him two minutes to figure out Valerie little scheme. Damon plan was to give Reyna back to the armoury and wile she was there to find a way to transfer the scar somewhere else or find another way. Also remember that the phoenix stone aim is to break you and give you the worse possible hell. So what Reyna was telling Stefan about his brother is actually not true, Stefan is not happy because he is without Damon. Stefan was sort of happy because he was having a life, independent from Damon, a grown up life without his "parent", but knowing his brother is available when he needs him. .Ike normal people do Damon was taking a break an waiting for Elena to weak up an he was travelling the world, with a girl he liked. But was it real happiness? Or rather as you rightfully pointed out, just a nice break from all the terrible things they had to live through in the past years? I liked Nora too, Mary Louse less, but their love story was lovely, they really loved each other and they made sure to go out with a bang. Literally. Thelma and Louse style. Now the stone is destroyed and we saw Reyna, being going crazy about it and we see all the souls in the stone, screaming....where did they go? Where they destroyed with the stone, Stefan's soul included? Also what is the Bonnie situation?

Here is the Newmoon comment: What happened in this episode is another display of how manipulative the hellstone really is. I already talked about the fact in my previous comments that Stefan was raised as the golden child, he was the one who got all the affection and love of his parents while at the same time he was witnessing how terribly his brother had been treated by his parents and this caused him huge guilty conscience that he doesn’t deserved the attention he was given and it’s actually his brother who deserved it, so in order to deal with the overwhelming guilt he was feeling, he started to develop a superiority complex to see himself and Damon just exactly how his parents see them. To start believing that he’s the good child why Damon is the screwed up one, the one who brings destruction to everyone around him. Hellstone already used Stefan’s superiority complex against him when his soul was trapped inside and it’s doing it again. We have to remember phoenix stone doesn’t play favourites, it doesn’t care about any vampires and it doesn’t make any expectations for Stefan either. Reyna Cruse became the physical manifestation of hellstone, she’s not just linked to her victim, she’s linked to the phoenix stone. The moment she became the huntress by that shaman’s spell, she literally became the servant of hell, delivering soul to the hellstone to be tortured and she would do everything that hellstone wants her to do, she herself has been manipulated and controlled by the stone too. Hellstone only wants the destruction of all the vampires and it would do this by using their own subconscious thoughts against them. What Reyna Cruse was doing in this entire episode was feeding Stefan’s superiority complex and at the same time, she was trying to destroy Stefan’s trust and faith in Damon. First Reyna explained the whole situation for Damon about what his decision actually means about his future with Elena and about the things that Damon hasn’t thought it through properly. She was pushing Damon to refuse to take the scar after he just suggested the idea, so this way he sound unreliable to Stefan and at the same time she kept telling Stefan that he can’t trust Damon to destroy Stefan’s faith in him. By telling him things like: “Your brother is not exactly reliable” , “the dumbest mistake you made by waking Damon up”, “you were happy because he was gone” , “Here we all are thanks to him” , it was like she was making Stefan relive all those childhood memories where Damon was verbally abused by his father and were called names right in-front of Stefan and she was making him see Damon exactly as his father was making everyone else see him in the house hold, the false perception he created for Damon for everyone to believe. She was gas-lighting Stefan to accept that false image of Damon as the reality, “guess your father was right all along, Damon is nothing but a worthless, a disappointment and unreliable of a brother who only destroys you and doesn’t deserve you” On the other hand, she was giving Stefan compliments and all the things he wanted to hear to feed his superiority complex, “I know you don’t deserve that mark but somebody else does” , “you grew on me” , “I think you are an ok person” If the huntress who basically wants all vampires dead wants to make an exception for you, you’re obviously special and not like other VAMPIRES, you’re good and you’re above them right? Hellstone only wants the destruction of the souls it’s ever encountered with and to destroy any chance of any redemption for them. Stefan would be miserable without Damon and hellstone knows that too.

The Phenix Stone is such an incredibly clever story line, it's in dept exploration on how to destroy a person in the most effective way, pure evil.

I agree with Newmoon and Patpet about Reyna Cruz. Reyna is using the same method psychopaths use to manipulate and reel in their victims. Knowing how psychopaths behave, it would be easy to notice what Reyna is doing to the Salvatore brothers. She is lying to Stefan about Damon. The sole purpose of Reyna and the Phoenix stone is to destroy vampires, so why would she give a crap about Stefan. The stone and Reyna are bound since we saw how it affected Reyna when Mary Louise and Nora destroyed the stone. Knowing the purpose of the stone and seeing how it affected Reyna when the stone was destroyed proves that Reyna didn't care about Stefan. She was exploiting what Stefan cares about and twisting it into something deplorable.
