To answer your question, Teen Wolf had a pretty huge queer following! Maybe not as big as of Season 2, but overall yes. The creator and main writer Jeff Davis is gay and Tyler Posey who plays Scott is pansexual (although I don't think he was out at the time), so there was definitely an effort to be queer friendly from the start, despite there not being much representation outside of Danny. And Stiles being queer coded. It's actually a big criticism for the show that they didn't do NEARLY as much as they could and should've done considering the fanbase they had. And it's not like the show was produced in the 90s or something, there was definitely the opportunity for better representation and exploration.

I literally came here to say exactly this 😂 This and the fact that some of the biggest fan ships of the show are all queer. I would say it was also one of the few teen shows of that era that didn’t reduce their gay characters to their sexuality & actually gave them storylines (though those characters haven’t been introduced yet)

I don’t think that hallucination with Stiles and his dad happened in the past, it’s more a reflection of how Stiles sees himself, i.e blaming himself for his mother’s death and now for “ruining” his dad’s life.

I do understand your point about it being unnecessary, she could just live as a wolf. However, it’s technically not her choice, either she kill’s herself or she will be killed. And best believe Gerard would kill her in a heartbeat if it came down to it.

Always love those scenes in movies or tv shows where the character disappears behind something or into the crowd in the blink of an eye It’s so satisfying.
