Another fantastic episode, rare to find a show that can introduce a whole new character and have you connect and feel for them immediately. Props to the entire production for making such a beautiful show!

BIG DISCLAIMER: My cameras storage became full while recording my outro, however I didn't see this until I went to edit 😭 this means that annoyingly the end cuts off very sudden and doesn't include question time. I am either going to record an afterword and edit it in some time this week or finish my thoughts at the start of next episode, I shall let u know whatever happens!!

Google Drive Tip: It takes time for Google Drive to process videos. If it says "still processing" or is only allowing you to view at 360p, then you can always come back later or download the video in full

Dropbox Tip: The quality of the video is lower while streaming so I recommend downloading or using google drive if thats an issue

hawk is gay and is so deep in his need to survive that he is able to shut parts of himself off and do whatever it is that he needs to do - i also think a lot of hawks actions as a dad stems from the horrible relationship he had with his own father and the impact that that had on him and his ability to show love but he deep down truly loves his kids but like time said, shows it in the only way he knows how as he wasn’t shown that as a child by his own father

The timeline is a bit complicated in this and you actually picked up on it pretty quickly. There is the early 50s (most of episodes 1-5), 1968 and ca. mid to late 50s when Hawk and Lucy are starting their family (episode 6), then the episode 7 era (I won't give away what year it is) and then the "current" time, which is 1986. I think it is well differentiated by hair, make-up and costumes and also the lighting (50s have more bright colours, 60s have more of a warm, yellow-brown shade). But it still can be a bit confusing sometimes.

It is a vernacular of the times. An affair is the term used for anyone who has had sexual relations with another individual, pre-marriage. So Lucy was definitely referring to her travels from before the season had even started. Since at the beginning of the show it was stated that she had returned from her travels abroad.
