When it comes to the power levels of the alphas you have to remember that they draw part of their power from their betas. Derek has 1 so he’s already weaker than the average alpha. The alphas in the pack however have absorbed the power of their betas and are therefore much stronger. Deucalion draws his power from the alphas in his pack AND has the absorbed power of his previous betas, so yeah he’s pretty freaking powerful 😭

Thank you for being one of the few people I’ve known or watched through the years who realized that Derek was trying to protect Isaac by throwing him out. He’s not been the greatest Alpha, but he genuinely cares about his Betas, even if he’s emotionally constipated and doesn’t show it all the time.
