Some really cool ideas explored this episode, excited to keep seeing this universe evolve!! I have to say though, god bless Alice for having them as parents 😭

Btw Harry, I know you previously asked how old these characters are, and I believe it was answered that they are in their early 20s. I think that is accurate for the show since they are in grad school, and the actors themselves don't look close to being teenagers. However, I recently started reading the books and turns out they are actually 17 and Brakebills is the first college they go too. Personally, I do prefer the ages in the show, but I also think that age difference can help explain some of the characters behaviors a little more, specifically Penny who was very much written as a high school bully type.

As silly as the idea of sex magic is, I really appreciated that they used that side plot as a way to bring up the importance of communicating with your partner even (and especially) when it feels really awkward. So much media just makes it seem as though everyone should just get it & be a great partner by ... reading each others minds, or something, and I think that is very unhelpful for those viewers who tend to include fictional media in the foundation of how they interact with others. Looking forward to the next episode!
