I believe I read somewhere that the writers wrote the conversation between marinna and colin as a set up for penelope and colins season and to show that marinna would be completely out of the picture/not an option for colin - whilst I can understand why they did that it still made me really sad to see that they had to send marinna's character/storyline down that road to bolster up penelope and colins relationship, like they could have just shown her accepting his apology and forgiveness and let her be on her merry way

I think it makes sense for Marina to be a little more jaded now considering all she’s been through. While Marina and Philip don’t have an unhappy marriage and seem to be a good wife and husband to one another, I’m sure they’re not who they would’ve chosen for each other. The way they ended up together will also understandably always be a sore point in their relationship, so Colin showing up definitely brings all that back up and Marina took it out on him a little.

When Anthony is breathing into her ear 🥵 ...my GOD 🤣 Jonathon Bailey has no right to come onto my screen and affect me this way🤣 anyway.. I ABSOLUTELY think Anthony was asking Kate to be honest when he asked her if she would like him to reconsider pursuing Edwina.

This is one of those shows which can be enhanced or totally ruined by a reactor (I saw one I had to drop at S2E3 because she was SO critical of Violet daring to grieve when she has children...like, hello? She's a person!) Thank you SO MUCH Harry for always trying your absolute best to understand the characters. It's a story...not real life...this is a wonderful medium for testing your empathy in a no-risk environment. (Plus, I've never seen the entertainment value in hating on fictional characters...) I wish more people would do that. Thank you!!

Which is unfair, really. He's asking her to take the risks...still doesn't quite understand how alike they are. She'd NEVER put her desires over Edwina's... no matter how destructive that can be for all three of them!

I do agree! I think its one of those things where one person wants to take it to the next level but they want a confirmation of reciprocation before they do. Totally unfair as you said, but does make for some great mutual pining 🥵🤣

The way I have always interpreted Anthony's reaction to Kate declaring she would be leaving as soon as Edwina married, was two fold: 1. He realized in that moment he rather liked having her around and assumed she would still be there to "bewilder him".... ;) 2. It was him def asking her if she was feeling the same way towards him as he was to her and needed her permission to pursue Kate, rather than continuing with Edwina (as society would of expected)
