Now that you have seen enough of Colin and Pen's "transformation", do you get the vibe that internally they are the same person and that the change last episode was more of them putting on a front with the clothes and thinking that outward appearance would change them as people when that is not the case? like pen is still awkward until colin teaches her to LOVE herself and seeing pen love herself colin starts to like her?

With Penelope and Colin kissing “as friends” (lol) in this episode, what do you think about the idea that Colin may not have seen Penelope in a romantic way before because they break social conventions so often? The conventions exist to separate family from potential suitors, and Colin and Penelope have been blurring that line since s1 (being alone together, holding hands etc and finally now, kissing)

How much do you think Colin's new behavior is brought on by Anthony? In S1, Anthony told Colin he didn't really love Marina because he hadn't "wet his wick" enough and was just horny for her and that he needed to take him to more brothels. So, here we see him trying to act like the man Anthony wanted him to be. Another parallel to S1 is Marina asking Colin for a kiss (to entrap him) and him saying "no," but here Pen asks for a kiss and he trusts her enough to say "yes." Does this shed any new light on their relationship to you?

The ton contributes to this, too. Colin has raced out after Penelope at several balls this season and no one bats an eye because they're used to them being together when that would cause a scandal for anyone else.

exactly, no one sees Penelope as desirable which is why they get away with acting like an engaged couple despite being “just friends”

A detail a lot of people miss. At the brothel, Colin tells the girls he stayed with them too long (to try to be charming) and he's going to be late for his appointment, but we actually see he's at the market waiting for Penelope when she finally strolls up. He wasn't late, he was early.
