What are some storylines you’d like to see explored more this season?

Finally! I always feel like Buck has two missing pieces of himself in S1 without Maddie and Eddie around. While I obviously love Maddie and Eddie as their own separate characters with their own agency and storylines, what do you think was the writers' goal in creating two supporting characters for Buck specifically?

Question prompted by last week's episode reaction - Why do you think Buck was able to so easily empathize with the catfisher and feel bad for how he was left alone but had such a hard time empathizing with the mother of the pipe baby in Episode 1? Is that character growth or do you think that speaks to his own internal issues/mindset?

We have two new characters introduced in Maddie and Eddie, how are you feeling about them so far, any predictions on where their storylines could go or what new relationship dynamics may be introduced?

two questions. 1). How do ya feel about Maddie being a new 9-1-1 phone operator, instead of Abby now? And 2). What do ya think of Eddie being in 9-1-1 now? Plus what do ya think of Eddie and Buck ( Buddies) some kind of relationships and where do you think their relationship could possibly end up too?

i've def grown to appreciate season 1 a lot more through these reactions - what do you hope season 2 could bring for both old and new dynamics? we've already seen a huge growth in buck since the pilot in 11 eps alone, how do you think maddie and eddie's introduction could impact his character going forwards? and how do you think abby's leaving might impact how he approaches his relationships in the future? (not sure if this is different enough to other questions regarding maddie and eddie so feel free to ignore if you feel you've answered it already)

Standard question for the show in general. How would you feel about getting told if there was upcoming double feature eps... Like they were meant to be a part 1/2 situation?

You mentioned that deaths in TV shows can either go for surprise/spectacle or be drawn out into a slow realization. I feel like character introductions can be the same -- where it's either *BAM* someone's here that instantly feels important -- like they're going to change things up -- or you realize it at a slower pace over the course of an episode(s). Eddie's was more of a *BAM* with the rest of the 118 and especially Buck all zeroing in on him -- while Maddie's intro had elements of both but went the more subtle route. We hear her, then we see her, then we figure out who she is, then she's only staying a few days -- until finally she's the new dispatcher in place of a main character from S1. All of this long-windedness is to say, do you have a preference for how shows do new main character introductions the same way you have a preference for how shows approach death scenes?

I know you were excited by the prospect of Bobby and Athena last episode, what are your thoughts on their relationship so far, do you see it being something that lasts?

I think this is the first time we have a little teaser/cliffhanger for an emergency the next episode. How do you like this as a narrative device, does it make you excited for the next episode?
