Great start to the season and I LOVE our new cast members! Great characters in their own right but also like, Eddie got me flustered over here

i think it's definitely not an unpopular opinion that eddie and maddie's introduction is really what makes the show feel more well-rounded - it's partly why i struggle to watch s1 bc it feels so weird to watch a show where eddie and maddie don't exist yet. they're some of my favourite characters and the show def wouldn't be the same without them. s1 also has a slightly distracting (for me at least) saturated colouring on it which you might notice they've dropped or at least toned it down a bit this season.

Yeah, the "You could have my back any day" -- "Or... or you could have mine" convo is an iconic 9-1-1 moment for most people, myself included. Also, just a small note - the fire station is usually called "The One-eighteen" rather than "One, one, eight."

While Buck was having a lot of random sex in S1, I do think it's important to mention that he did always want more of an emotional connection than just a hook-up -- he asks "Groovyheels" out on a real date, and she says, "no," and he was looking for an emotional outlet with therapy before everything else happened. To some extent, it wasn't that *he* wasn't taking dating seriously, but that the people he hooked up with hadn't been expecting anything serious from him.

I'm so thrilled that Maddie and Eddie are both here now. It IS true that they enrich the story. I also can't wait for a few more supporting characters to show up this season 👀👀 not spoiling anything but they too add to the dynamics. I think it's just that season 2 onwards we get to see the characters all bond together to form a more solid found family of sorts so it always feels more comfort-vibey despite the severed bloody arms falling from the sky 🤣🤣
