FYI, in the books, Claudia is turned at age FIVE 💀 Anne Rice had a daughter that died at that age so wrote an immortal vampire of the same age, perhaps to cope with the grief. how do you feel about the ethics of turning children into vampires? What should the cutoff age be? Keep in mind that a lot of vampire media like twilight, TVD, have characters turning into vampires from 16-18.

Why do you think Claudia is much more able to see Lestat’s more manipulative and abusive ways compared to Louis? How do you feel about how Claudia’s perceptiveness impacts Louis and Lestat’s relationship?

Why do you think Claudia adapts to vampirism so quickly? Is Louis simply the odd vampire out? Is Claudia more influenced by Lestat’s feeding habits? Or is her over-indulgence a commentary on her immaturity?
