In this episode, past Louis and Armand discuss their relative relationships with Lestat. How do you think past Armand saw Louis's and Lestat's relationship? Having been abandoned by Lestat himself, it seemed to me that, in these early days, he thought Louis was like himself -- or like Antoinette -- someone who Lestat entertained himself with but ultimately didn't really care about. However, Lestat never abandoned Louis and likely never would have. How do you think past Armand will feel learning that Loustat's connection was so much deeper? We've discussed Louis as an unreliable narrator, but how reliable do you think Armand is when recounting the events surrounding his meeting and relationship with Lestat? If you had to rank all of the narrators of this story - Louis, Claudia, Armand - what order would you put them in in terms of reliability?

I'm really not trying to excuse Lestat's behavior during the train scene. But now that we know Claudia's very existence breaks a Great Law, and that "He said the vampires out there are vicious," do you think there was an element of Lestat that was trying to keep Claudia from leaving as a form of protecting her, especially knowing how badly it ended the last time with Bruce? When giving his origin story, Lestat hinted at his own sexual abuse -- with the piles of lookalike dead bodies all around him -- so just like Louis sees elements of himself in Claudia, how much do you think Lestat saw himself in her? Do you think that could be part of the reason he loved her? Part of the reason he sometimes hated her?

This is a story that cares *so much* about word choice -- every word is very deliberate. Given this meticulousness, is there weight to the fact that Armand never answers Louis's last question in Paris: "Are you gonna kill me?"

You said in last week's reaction that it was hard to feel the length of Loumand's relationship compared to Loustat's because, from the audience perspective, we've spent so much time dwelling in the relationship with Lestat. However, we've now had three episodes where present-day Loumand's relationship has been out in the open and two episodes of them interacting in the past. How much progress do you think the show has made at fleshing out the depth of this relationship? Ironically, how much do you think Loumand's relationship this season has served the purpose of deepening the audience's relationship with Lestat -- giving him more backstory, having Lestat's "ghost" interrupt their dates, etc.? Is "47 more years than he was with Lestat" a true account of the matter if Lestat continues to haunt the narrative?

With armand being older than lestat, he has strength and abilities that are far beyond what lestat has which he demonstrated in the episode. In season 1, we became so used to lestat being the one with all the power which he used at times against louis, so how did it feel in this episode to see a role reversal where lestat was the ‘weaker’ one?

we know that louis feels a lot of guilt for ''killing'' lestat, but do you think there are any other reasons for his guilt? i find the scene where dreamstat appears and starts singing during armand and louis conversation very interesting. we know louis grew up catholic, do you think he experiences guilt from trying to pursue some sort of relationship with armand? i feel like the lyric ''come to me you little whore'' is basically louis slut-shaming himself through dreamstat😭 do you think he feels like hes being unfaithful? btw in case you didnt know, dreamstat is what we call louis hallucination of lestat, jacob (louis actor) came up with it lol
