sam reid is so good at playing lestat. the way that he moves on stage during the trial as if he is a marionette is so good and so telling that he really does not want to be there. also, i think he wanted to save claudia but if he had tried to save her then he probably wouldnt have been able to save louis. i think he played it that way because he knew that armand would have pretended it was him who saved louis and everyone else would understand that. there is no way this would have worked with claudia.

also love how the show plays on memory and how we look at characters. this is the first time we actually see lestat and not the version louis and claudia have of him. and i'm not saying he's a saint or anything but i do feel like certain aspects of lestat were exaggerated or made worse than they were because he was such an imposing presence in their lives. sam and jacob are amazing actors. the way the bring so much to their performance is just incredible.

Watching you watch this show was truly a wonderful experience! The more people I see discover the beauty of this show, the happier I get in this long wait for Season 3! I'll forever lament the fact that this show is criminally underrated, it's a beautiful show and deserves so much more attention. I don't know if you do movie reactions, but have you ever thought of watching the 90s movie adaptation? If only to get a glimpse into what the og source material was kind of like? The movie gets conflicting reviews from book and show enjoyers a like, but I think it would be fun to see you watch it what with your experience with the show first!

Just FYI, "VSB" stood for "Vampire Sam Barclay" There's a whole thing in the books with everyone saying "Vampire Lestat" etc.
