I posted this under the comments of he first episode of this season, but just in case you didn’t see: Prior to this season Dylan O’Brien had had a pretty horrific accident on the set of the final Maze Runner movie while filming a stunt. He suffered a concussion, facial fractures and some brain trauma, it was so traumatic for him that he even considered quitting acting. The accident delayed the filming of that movie and another movie he was starring in (American Assassin) by one year and as a result he had scheduling conflicts with this season of Teen Wolf. They wrote most of the storyline around Dylan’s absence but they really made it work and Dylan basically gave up some of his free time just to appear in this season.
