Damn that was a rough way to end the episode, very concerned to see where the team dynamics go from here 😭 hopefully they all gonna be good by the end of it...

Dropbox Tip: The quality of the video is lower while streaming so I recommend downloading or using google drive if thats an issue

ah, we've reached the dreaded law suit arc, lol - this is def a storyline the fandom butts heads on a lot. i have conflicting feelings on bobby not letting buck back in the field. i always go back and forth - on the one hand, i get it, but also, buck was medically cleared by his doctors and presumably, the department would be fine letting him back in the field on that alone. it was bobby making this choice, and bobby was absolutely letting his personal, fatherly attachment towards buck affect his decision. probably more so than thinking abt the safety of the team. he had a taste of almost losing buck, both in the bombing incident and even more recently the tsunami. he doesn't want to risk it again and keeping buck away from the job is the only thing he can think of that can mitigate that risk. i think buck is valid in wanting to sue, and def has a solid case for it.

Yeah, I'm of the opinion that the lawsuit IS a bad idea and Buck DEFINITELY didn't think things through (distancing himself from literally everyone in his life including Christopher and Maddie, how everyone's likely to be mad at him, etc.) but it's come from a place of desperation and I don't blame him. I also feel that, for me, Bobby keeping Buck back isn't from a place of concern over his readiness and the welfare of the rest of the team (because he HAS been cleared by medical professionals and passed his recertification) but from a place of fear of losing Buck (it's been hinted that Bobby has a paternal affection for Buck) and maybe even guilt because it was him the bomber was targeting after all. If there was a legitimate reason for Bobby to keep Buck back, then I'd say Buck was overreacting and needs to give it some time until he's fit for duty but there isn't one. Buck is already fit for duty. Bobby just isn't ready himself. This was a personal decision for Bobby and Buck responded personally. It wasn't a good idea but I get how he felt backed into a corner and betrayed. Like...what else could he have done, you know? (If I had been writing the show, I'd have some father-son bonding instead of a lawsuit but we can't all be geniuses 🤷🏾‍♀️🤭)
