After hearing mixed things about this season, I have to say, I loved this opener! We all know I LOVE to try and decipher a mystery before they can tell me, and this episode did a great job of laying the groundwork!

P.s. still in shock about the Hayden departure??? Did not see that one coming by a MILE

Hayden and Liam are full on broken up, its phrased confusingly but what mason meant is that he was broken up with for a reason that was not his fault, he wasn't dumped bc she didn't care about him. Hayden is out of the show for good which while she wasn't my favorite I do think its a missed opportunity to explore her relationships with her fellow chimeras like corey and theo as well as scott, the alpha who bit her as it felt like outside of liam she felt a little discontented from the rest of the cast. However the actress had other filming commitments. Also a quick list of non-romantic or conventional anchors we have seen Derek said his anchor was his anger (obvi won't work for liam) bc it makes him feel human Issac's anchor was his father (implied to be memories of him from before he became abusive) Scott's current anchor is his pack Pack specific mantras and symbols like the sun the moon the truth with satomi's pack and alpha beta omega and the triskelion for the Hales

I like 6b I think its over hated. People who love it tend to LOVE it but i think its a pretty good season. It makes a better thematic send off to the show than 6a in my opinion. It gives us the opportunity to tie up some lose ends from throughout the show and explore some new dynamics that we haven't nessacarly been able to give time too. We also get to meet some new characters and bring back some old ones. This is the endgame which makes everything that happens feel more final/important which might be what leads to stronger reactions to the season but I can't imagine the whole product of teen wolf without it. Minor stiles spoilers below (not plot related but if you don't want to no anything about his involvement in the rest of the show don't read) Stiles is in the finale (I feel like this would reasure me to know as I am fine with him not actively in the season as long as he is in the last ep as he was important to the show)
