You’re so right about the format of shows on a grand scale having changed so much and affecting how connected we are able to become to the plot and characters. I miss the 18-22 episode seasons being the norm so much honestly, and as much as I love many different shows that have 8-10 episode seasons, when it takes 3 years to make a new season you just end up not caring as much sadly..
