Did someone shit in a writers cup today cause why was this episode SO depressing 😭 still executed perfectly as always though. Not sure what to make of the Caludette, definately rubbed me the wrong way, but that might just be me and May apparently 😂

IMO Buck 100% had that punch coming what do you mean you see me freaking out over my partner and mother of my child disappearing for EIGHT days when you’ve had the answer to why the whole time and have been playing in my face the whole time letting me spiral. Also Buck using Albert as a mouthpiece to try to make chimney let it go… “BuT SHes BuCKs SiSTEr!” Is a common defense for Buck but like Ok once again she’s the mother of chims child and his partner… Buck is lucky he only got punched by chimney that would’ve definitely been a big irrecoverable scar on my relationship with Buck if I were chim.

Kenneth Choi’s (Chimney) acting is highlighted so well this season. His scene with the ER doctor in this ep always gets an emotional reaction out of me, no matter how many times I see it

I can’t say that I agree with this. There is no excuse to put your hands on someone. Absolutely none. Also, given Maddie’s past with domestic violence, Chim punching her brother in the face? Not being able to control his emotions and leave before escalating to that point? Nah. He was in the wrong. Did Buck do something wrong? Maybe. He went about it the wrong way. He trusted his sister was an adult and needed time, and did what he was asked to do. And I think chimney is in the right to be angry, but again…. It’s not ok that he hit Buck. That’s not how adults solve problems.

What a truly depressing episode. I do believe that it's a no-blame situation with Buck, Maddie and Chimney but that while understandable, Chimney should NOT have hit Buck. Sometimes when you're in such a mental spiral, you need some time just to yourself. It's so difficult to feel like you can even breathe around other people, let alone bear the responsibilities of being a partner and a mother. But on the flip side, maybe Maddie needed some reassurance as well? Who knows? But I will say that if Maddie herself says that she needs some time and space, we should respect that and give it to her because finding her to tell her everything's okay and let's just go home might not be the way to help her deal. I do think Buck should have just told Chimney "hey so she called, told me about the trigger and that she needs time" but I totally get that he's trying to just give Maddie what she's desperately begging for. And honestly idk if Chim going after Maddie is a good or bad thing. Like, ok, say he finds her, he tells her everything's ok, but if the reassurances don't work, I hope he understands that she just needs some time and space to work through her mental health.

Also, Claudette - no, yeah, I hate her. Idk if it's an age thing or if she's one of those women who puts down other women (I thought it might be envy of May's youth at first but that throwaway comment at Linda about her "washing out" after 6 months also gives woman-hater female) but whatever her bias is just doesn't matter. She's PEAK mean girl and honestly it sucks that May has to deal with such high school mean girl energy when she dealt with nearly life ending bullying during her actual high school years. It's annoying AF that she's cozied up to Josh too. And the clapping over her first call?? Please. No one clapped when Josh helped us catch that guy who ran Sue over. Remember that? It was AMAZING but it was his job. I'm not saying Claudette didn't help save a life but why tf was it like "omg we need to nominate her for all the awards"??
