So yes, there we have it, the end of a fantastic run 😢 this movie was an... interesting eperience, lol. Overall though, this has been an absolutely smashing run for Teen Wolf, gonna miss catching up with our peeps each week, but has been a lovely experience nonetheless 😭 thank you everyone for joining me on the ride, has been an ABSOLUTE pleasure 🧡

i've only ever consumed this movie through video essays/reviews/deep dives. i honestly just refuse to watch it in full bc from what i've heard/watched the plot makes no sense and they do incredibly dumb things w the characters 😭 (like killing off derek or parrish/malia)

Now that I’ve watched the question time portion I think what’s most baffling about this movie is that usually when a movie is made to conclude a tv series that ended years ago, it’s supposed to be a love letter to the fans. But watching this I can think of a single section of the fandom that would’ve been satisfied besides maybe the ScottXAllison fans?

I don't think even they would be satisfied? I never cared for them but I can't imagine as people who do, they would look at this and go "Yep, job well done" Like every ship that were dear to us was completely wrecked. Breadan and Derek, Lydia and Stiles, Argent and Melissa, Theo and Liam, Mason and Corey... I would have taken Scott getting back with Kira (had they actually paid her), not Allison. And if they were dead set on putting Parrish with a girl he knew when she was a teenager, they could've put him with Lydia. Makes more sense considering the Banshee/Hellhound connection and the fact that she was already 18 when they actually started interacting.

To respond to how much time happened between season 3b and 6b, it was 1½ to 2 years. Season 1 - 1st semester of sophomore year (og pack) Season 2- 2nd semester of sophomore year (og pack) Season 3a+b - 1st semester of junior year (og pack) Season 4 - 2nd semester of junior year (og pack) 2nd semester of freshman year (Liam) Season 5a+b - 1st semester of senior year (og pack) 1st of sophomore year (puppy pack) Season 6a - 2nd semester of senior year (og pack) 2nd semester of sophomore year (puppy pack) Season 6b - og pack done with high school Puppy pack in 1st semester of junior year The whole show takes space in the span of 3 year and a half or 4 years at most

I swore I would never rewatch this movie, but I was so interested to see what you thought about it. It's actually worse the second go round! Like the idea was good, bring back the Nogitsune since it was probably the most notable villain, but the writing and characterization and plot and literally everything was so poor it pissed me off. I remember being so excited so many years removed to get to dive back into this universe only for them to literally destroy the illusion of a happy ending that we ended on in 6b. Scott/Allison had ended so long ago like we had Kira and then Malia there's no longer an emotional connection to Scallison, They could ave brought her back and not had them be romantic. Parrish and Malia? How/why would that even be a thing. Having Derek, who's main trauma was hid family literally being burned alive...be burned alive in front of his kid? How is Harris even alive they literally found his body? If he hadn't been dead then he wasn't actually sacrificed so like, Jennifer wouldn't have gotten power from that and now they've created a plot hole in 3A that wasn't there before. Bad choice after bad choice.

As for the second movie Tyler posey has stated he himself had issues with the script for the first movie and he took a crack at writing the second movie script himself. He does truly love Scott so I’m incline to trust his take for a second movie but yeah still ehh

I don’t know if you read fanfic or not but there’s a really good fic that me and my friends totally consider cannon post show it’s thiam centered. And it’s basically Liam unpacking all the stress he’s been through and will go through when Scott goes off to college. To cope with this stress Liam and Theo go on a surprise impromptu road trip across the United States and bonding and stuff. i treat the movie as Teen Wolf's version of What If cuz breaking up Scott and Malia pissed me off so in real Teen Wolf they are still together.
