What an episode of television, safe to say my bar for quality TV has been raised by a mile. The sheer amount of things we explored this episode??? Fucking crazy!

Dropbox Tip: The quality of the video is lower while streaming so I recommend downloading or using google drive if thats an issue

as an autistic person hudsons performance as shane means the world to me. there are so many little details in his performance that make me feel like im looking in the mirror.

FYI, the Skip romance is book one in the series. The title of their book is GameChangers, and now you see why! Scott’s bravery opens the door for all the other couples in the series. Heated Rivalry is book 2

Betty Louisa

Hudsons scar is from him play fighting someone at a barn party near some cows and splitting his skin on a rock. Pretty wild story 😂

Thank you so much for sharing your reactions to this! <3

I love your reactions! You're so focused when you're watching and you notice so many details. I also really appreciate the pauses where you share your thoughts.

You may have already heard this, but Hudson Williams actually drew from his own life experience for his role as Shane. Hudson revealed that he based the character’s neurodivergent traits and mannerisms on his father, who is on the autism spectrum. He described him as a mechanical engineer and technical genius who excelled academically but struggled with social and emotional cues. Hudson mentioned he felt an immediate connection to the script and character because it felt like he was taking a 'page out of living my life with him'. ♥️

i love your reactions they are really really good. the thing with his brother hating him. i have read both books and Ilya talks about how alexi is his father son and more like him. i think Ilya was mom favourite but it could just the vibe im getting. also SPOILER from the books Ilya thinks about the times he slept with his coach son a team mate sister a team mates girlfriend and his brothers girlfriend. i wonder if his brother knows this and is another reason why he hates him. yes Ilya really did like trouble as a teenager.

Here's a Quick Timeline Update: February 2014-Scott & Kip Break-Up November 2016-Shane Leaves Ilya's House in Boston February 2017- (maybe late January)- Club Scene February 2017-(2 weeks later)- Rose & Shane Break-Up / All-Star Game June 2017-Scottt Hunter-Admirals Stanley Cup Win

Kris

I don't think that Rose is upset because she recognizes Shane’s authenticity. After nearly three months together, she’s seen his trustworthiness firsthand and knows he’d never manipulate or intentionally mislead her. She understands that he likely mistook a deep platonic affection for romantic love while navigating his own denial and confusion. Instead of feeling like a victim, Rose sees herself as a supportive partner in Shane’s journey of self-discovery and by choosing to remain best friends, she’s proving that their bond is built on genuine trust and support.

Kris

I love how, Ilya takes the time to confirm the definition of 'compatible' and ensures Shane and Rose are no longer together before he acts on his feelings and/or touches Shane, It’s a masterclass in respecting boundaries, especially considering how much he hated their relationship. It shows that he cares more about doing right by Shane than just getting what he wants, revealing his true integrity as a partner.

Ilya isn’t hurting for money lol, he’s a multimillionaire. You might be thinking of the very first episode when Ilya told his brother he didn’t have any more to give him, but that was right at the beginning of his rookie season. He’s now team captain.

EarthMix Stan

Please react to Hudson and Connor's interviews after the show like the compliment battle and reading thirst tweets :)) I think you'll really enjoy them and their personalities especially how unhinged Hudson is LOL

Facebitch

We have to get the finale today, right? 🤭

This the one and only show I watch without looking at my phone. Amazing!

Thank you for your thoughtful analysis. FYI - In the books, Ilya does own a number of expensive sports cars, so he isn't really poor. Although, I do think that he has given his family a very large amount of his earnings.
