Believe me, TVD is THE vampire universe and it's is quite complete, it explains everything and it is the vampire lore with which every vampire films or TV series will have to deal with, because nothing compares or has every been so perfectly logic and organic. We’ve just hit the tip of the iceberg this universe is, by being introduced to the main characters and the initial lore rules and little by little the story is expanding, this universe is expanding. You are in for such a ride. Ok before anything else....Damon appearing in Stefan’s rooms with his trousers barely hanging on his hips, giving an entirely new meaning to the Adonis belt 😲 ...is such a jaw dropping vision! And as usual Damon being cheeky pretending not to be able to button his shirt...or calling Elena our girlfriend to Stefan...his sassiness and cheekiness makes him such an irresistible jerk.😁 Anyway the brothers shirtless are a show on itself! My good all the men on this show are quite something but Ian and Paul are off the chart gorgeous. 🔥🔥🔥 Let’s go back to the story. So much has happened. Isobel is alive, she was a vampire when she disappeared that night, Alaric saw her with Damon and he doesn’t remember anything else because he was probably compelled to forget. But before she disappeared and she was turned, she gave to Alaric a ring to protect him from demons, meaning she knew she would be turned and wanted him to be protected from, her and Damon, that was already around or already being contacted. It is the ring that brought Alaric back to life, but we don’t know yet the ring story. I don’t think Damon meant to kill Alaric, even though he was harshly frank with him about his wife, but he related to him, been kinder spirits betrayed by the women they love. In this case (but only in this case) I understand Stefan withholding information about Damon, for once he didn’t wanted badmouthing his brother to Elena before knowing all the facts. And what do you know, Damon spills the bins in front of everybody. When Elena confronted Damon and told him that Isobel is her mom, Damon face dropped from the face of the earth and Stefan face was like “you are such a jerk brother, what am I going to do with you?”, priceless. 😂 Apparently some vampires are out of the tomb and being all from the same period and the same place, they know each other, that is another story.... Oh my! Next episodes, one by one, are freaking fantastic, if you think that so far TVD was good, now is really peaking up. You’ll see. I love so much your reactions, you are very perceptive and relatable.

‘A Few Good Men’ is an episode that is especially important to Damon’s development in this series. The fallout from his discovery that Katherine wasn’t in the tomb is a crucial milestone in his emotional evolution. Of course he handled his grief in a typically Damon manner. He drowned himself in alcohol. He compelled some sorority girls to feed on and party with at the boarding house. He played cruel mind games on Alaric. But amidst all of his impulse and insanity are the seeds of his humanity that have started to resurface. They are particularly obvious in his encounters with Elena. Despite everything that has happened to him recently, the pain that he is suffering, he still regards her differently than everyone else. She is gifted with a rare display of emotion and respect from him that the other people in his life just don’t receive. And strangely enough, that respect is reciprocated, even though Damon hasn’t exactly earned it yet. Elena consistently shows her concern and compassion for Damon’s anguish during this episode. And also makes it clear that she has started to truly believe there is more to him than the monstrous façade he puts on for the rest of the world. But because of his past behavior and his current instability she hides it with snark, in much the same way as Damon hides behind his sarcasm. “Ugh, who cares. She left you. She sucks.” If you don’t know Damon, this reaction from him could seem callous. But it is actually a sign of how much he cares for Elena already that he even thinks this, let alone says it to her. An important of Elena’s story is discovering the truth of her birth parents. Its something that is very important to her character at this juncture. And she is comfortable sharing this relevant information with Damon. So comfortable that she casually brings it up while she’s buttoning his shirt for him. And the way he just walks into this room looking 'ridiculously hot' is the added bonus. I am not even sure how Elena was handling herself with all the hear in the room ;) Damon has been a lit bit suspicious of Alaric from the beginning as we had seen in the past episodes, he would be thrown off by the numerous questions Alaric was asking him at one of the school dances. And having a friend in the town sheriff is a great place to begin with and ask for favors that can help him understand what is happening around. He didn't tell Stefan anything about Isobel because he himself wanted to confirm things before he said anything at all. But the showdown on the stage was something else. He triggered Alaric knowingly. I for once didn't get frustrated by Stefan keeping things to himself because I could see that he understood his brother is not in the best place and he was actually trying to keep him away from going around killing people so he tried to tip toe around and put the pieces together. Him not wanting to tell Elena that he thinks that Vampire who killed her mother might be Damon was again I suppose a good decision in that moment because Stefan couldn't confirm what happened to Isobel unless Damon told himself. But I was glad that she didn't hold herself back from expressing her hurt and disappointment in front of Damon and his expressions gave away the 'sorry' he didn't utter in words. He wasn't happy knowing that he has caused pain to Elena unknowingly. Alaric and Damon confrontation. I also didn't think it was smart of Alaric to go down to the boarding house and try to attack Damon but then it is Alaric and it is true to his character. Damon did tell him some harsh truths that he needed to hear about how his wife willingly chose to become a vampire because she no longer was happy with the normal mundane human life. I don't think he intended to kill him but then again if he is being attacked Damon isn't going think twice. The ring given by Isobel is very important. She obviously chose to give it to him to protect him from Vampires before she decided to become a part of that world so it was a well thought decision on her end. The perks of the ring shall be explained soon and how exactly it protects you from death.

Yes it does play out like a movie...the best movie EVER! Trust me...you're in for a Hell of a ride. Am I the ONLY Stefan lover over here. I think Stefan is AMAZING and there are reasons they all are the way they are....as will be explained. You don't really HAVE to question anything in this show as EVERYTHING will ALWAYS be answered and wrapped up in a nice little bow. This show is SO well written with such attention to details...it's just fantastic. The special effects, the period piece clothing, and the way they speak more properly during the flashback scenes are on point. The actors are not only beautiful but extremely talented...more so than ANY actors I've EVER seen especially considering this was not a movie but a perfect series. They really left no stone unturned and pulled out ALL the stops on TVD and TO! They set the bar so high that I have yet to find another series OR movie that even comes close to TVD AND TO!
