Every actor in this show will have, before or after, more than one chance to shine. And this episode was all about Caroline. I still remember when I saw this episode first, how much I was impressed by the excellent acting skills of Candice Accola King. Her scene in the bathroom with Stefan is beautiful, so touching, so heart breaking. Stefan in that scene was brilliant, as I mention before, Stefan season two is just wonderful. Damon and Jeremy. Jeremy is attracted by who in his mind is a badass, also to him Damon is an adult, they shared very intimate moments and even if he tried to killed him. But, since he tried to became a vampire, that traumatic experience certainly that gave him a reality check, realising he doesn’t want to be a vampire. When Damon took his ring off at the carnival, he might have act Damon like with no filters, right direct to the point, rough, but he did act like a big brother in a Damon way. He showed Jeremy that he can go around threatening vampires, or show them he has the ring, because for a vampire it that easy to take it off his finger and kill him. With Katherine around is not a good time for Jeremy to act like if he is invincible. And I believe Jeremy understood that. He is Elena’s brother and they are both very compassionate, he probably forgave Damon already, he recognise that Damon is a powerful allied, and having him on his side when there is a dangerous situation it could be advantageous. Also Damon likes people that confront him, showing courage, call him of his bullshit. Damon has a charming quality that makes people open up to him, because what he shares with them, on one to one conversations with Liz, Carol, Alaric, Jeremy, Elena etc. are non specific information about himself that are still very personal, inviting people to share on the same level creating confidentiality. Bonnie is so very annoying blaming Damon for everything, when is her fault if Tyler dad died, if Caroline turn into a vampire, if it wasn’t for the device she didn’t unspell Caroline wouldn’t have been in the hospital in the first place. I love Bonnie to bits but in this period not particularly. All the mess happening is something she created by lying, she could have just said it like it is, “I don’t want to help you” and they would have come out with a different plan. When Damon arrived into town he had is humanity off and had a purpose, a specific goal. The humans in town, he didn’t know, where just a means to an end, Caroline was one of them. He compelled her not to be afraid of him so he can talk to her openly about everything and that is how compelled Caroline, that was oblivious to everything going on around her as human, when she turned manage to figure it out, by remembering everything that happened and every conversation they had. As human she was a control freak, an over achiever, a little miss perfection, that plays a great part in the kind of vampire she is, that is why she manages so fast to control her vampire urges. Damon wanted to kill her because Katherine turned her into a vampire, sending them a message and he knows she target her in particular for some reason, and being Liz daughter, the daughter of a vampire hunter, it is going to be a big problem for all of them.

You're so cute when you're happy :)) Caroline aka Candice shined throughout this episode! I liked how her transitioning period was different and in character because she is someone who is a control freak. At this point, it was just the first day for her so although she must be trying it cannot be expected of her to be in full control because it's her personality trait but hopefully she will be get there with some support from people like Stefan and her friends. Damon after his impulsive reaction is obviously not going to act like he knows that he has done something really wrong. He more like is going to act like it didn't matter to him but we all know it did. The way he was acting with Jeremy at the carnival was him being a jerk but I'm sure deep down he was happy knowing that he had the ring. Damon wanting to kill Caroline I know wasn't right because she deserves a chance to at least try getting through this just like any one of them. And he had his reasons for it honestly, it wasn't illogical but still we can thank Elena for getting in the middle of the stake and Caroline. It was something she knows could stop him and she did it. Stefan was great this episode as a friend to Caroline and as a boyfriend to Elena. I really appreciated the bathroom scene between him and Caroline. She absolutely needed to be reassured that everything she is feeling is part of the deal and she isn't alone. Bonnie pissed me off too this episode. I know she was in shock and angry about Caroline's state but she cannot blame Damon for any of it. Damon only gave Caroline blood to save her life and Bonnie had agreed. So she needs to start looking at things from a wider perspective. Jeremy and Damon's scene was cute. Stefan might be trying to keep him safe and everything but that we can say comes from the fact that Elena is a common factor between them. Whereas with Damon and Jeremy, it's not about Elena solely. I liked how Jeremy wanted to kill Damon but instead that it turned into a conversation easily about their fathers who hated vampires. I guess Damon without trying still is able to get through to people and that is what works. He doesn't try too hard and is very blunt. If people connect with him it happens or not. Again I am going to wait for the next week for the next episode eagerly 💙

I think because Damon is a daywalker, that really throw them off.... the scene with Mason and Tyler at the beggining, i found it really difficult to focus haha
