Yeah if I am Elena and I see Katherine I am going out the next day and getting a tattoo on my wrist or something. As for your question about the dream/mind entering thing. Yes vampires can do that and you've seen it before but it was in the first few episodes of season 1 when Damon did it.

Another reaction this week is just too good :)) Firstly I really liked the dream Katherine planted because Delena looked really cute. I know it's wrong for Katherine to mess with Stefan's mind but I don't think she was projecting insecurity but it's something Stefan feels so she just showed him the same in the dream. So much happened in this episode and a lot of Katherine's past was dug up. It wasn't all good but it told us so much about how Katherine likes to deal with things. She doesn't have a hard time getting people out of her way and selling them out, as she did with the vampires accompanying her in 1864. I personally have a very different take on Stefan and Katherine. I feel she wants to believe that she loves him because he says that he doesn't love her anymore and she finds that a challenge. I don't think either of them treat each other in a way someone you love would treat you. Stefan was in love with her as long as he thought she was human but once he knew the truth about her being a vampire, she had to compel him to continue with the relationship. So I think once he became a vampire and he realised that he was compelled he hated it. However he still found someone (i.e. Elena) who is a human and is ticking all the boxes Katherine failed to do so. It's complicated but I don't see love so much as much as I see challenge and past heartbreaks. With Damon and Katherine again it's different. She has been back in town and whenever we get to see them interacting it's different. At the end of the day she still makes the effort to see him and in a way warn him about not being the hero or he will end up dead...why? I agree she does care for him in some way and see how she doesn't attack him like she does so casually with Stefan. Damon choosing to not trust Mason did come across impulsive but that's him. He doesn't trust people easily and I don't think anyone can blame him because he has been betrayed by too many. But you will have more to find out soon.

This episode is so important for so many reasons. Let’s analysed them one by one. Damon and Stefan. We saw in this episode that Stefan after the ball declared his love for Katherine. He didn’t know at that time that she was a vampire and his words infer that at that stage they just kissed. Next we saw Damon in Katherine’s rooms. At that time no gentleman would get in a lady's rooms unless invited. He told her he was going to meet her in her room, she obviously forgot, because Stefan confessions surprised her, she was surprised of her reaction to his confession. So she wanted time alone to process that. Damon was in the way, therefore she told him “I want to be alone TONIGHT” meaning that Damon being in her room was common routine, in previous nights Damon has been in her room already., He said “Is my love not enough?” so, she also knew that he loved her by now and by the way they acted it is inferred that Damon at that point was sleeping with her on a regular basis. So Damon was right he was with her first. Damon doesn’t lie. Stefan and Katherine. This relationship is so complicated. Stefan was truly in love with her before he knew she was a vampire, but she twisted his love by compelling him after he reacted scared and disgusted when he realised she was a vampire. Then after becoming a vampire he realised she used him, abused him and any feeling of love he had for her turned sour. So why has he kept her picture? Because she is connected with the trauma of becoming a vampire, that picture is a reminder of times when he was in love with her and he was human before everything was ruined. And I believe that at the beginning Elena was the perfect opportunity to relive those moments, when he was human, naive, unaware of all supernatural stuff and in love. Elena was the version of Katherine he though she was, an angel. So he seeking a life as human is his way of pretending that everything that happened after he became a vampire doesn’t exist. At the end she said “I made sure to see you one more time” before everything she planned with George Lockwood happened. So she manipulated Stefan into having sex with her to get captured and escape. He was abused by Katherine, that isn’t love. She played both brothers. Katherine is a very old vampire and when you have lived for so many years, boredom is a component that sets in. So having Damon wasn’t enough because he was ready available, she knew he loved her no matter what, on the contrary Stefan was a challenge, because he had to compel him to continue the relationship with him. But she turned both of them and had Emily made rings for the both of them. Meaning that no matter what she is saying she cared about Damon and she wanted him too. Also the fact that she is seeking him in the present time and warns him to be careful, it does imply that she cares for him too. The point is why she is keeping Damon away and telling Stefan she loves him and threaten him? Why she hasn’t killed Elena if she wants Stefan? Elena could die in many ways that not necessarily have to be done by Katherine directly; she can compel anybody to kill her. So something doesn’t add up. Damon and Mason It does seem that Damon acted impulsively, but has he? Let’s not forget that Damon is very intelligent and perceptive. He is also very susceptible to mistrust because he was screw over many times. So he can sense, manipulation. He asked Mason a very important question and he didn’t answered it. How Mason knows that Damon is a vampire? Nobody in his family does, nobody in town does. Why Mason is looking for the moonstone? We saw that George Lockwood got the moonstone from Katherine as exchange for her safety, so that piece of stone have some importance to the Lockwood family and Mason lied by saying that it was his mother’s and has a simple sentimental value. He is saying that he is there for his family, which might be true, but it is clear at this point that Mason too has his own agenda. And the fact that he didn’t answer to Damon’s question but deflected it with a peace offering was read by Damon as deflection in order to manipulate the situation. So no, Damon didn’t act impulsively. Caroline and Katherine As Anna said to Jeremy in a past episode, some of the reasons vampires turn humans are to do their dirty work and to be their eyes and hears. So it is clear now that she turned Caroline to spy on Elena and to manipulate the situation to her advantage. But Elena knows her friend too well not to notice that something is up. Let’s not forget that one of Elena’s great traits is the ability to read people well. So she and Stefan know.
