Excited to announce we are FINALLY starting The Mandalorian!! I am hoping to be done with S2 by the time S3 comes out in December but we shall have to wait and see!

There are some small things that will probably only be understandable, if you have watched Rebels (mostly in season 2 of The Mandalorian) But nothing essential to the story of this show. I want to avoid spoiling anything as of now, so I will tell you what I mean when it’s no longer a spoiler. I really enjoyed this reaction and I think you will enjoy this show. :D

Beskar is (one of) the most valuable and durable metals in the Star Wars universe. It can withstand blaster fire without taking damage and was originally found on Mandalore, the home world of the Mandalorians. In the mentioned purge the empire raided Mandalore to get the beskar for itself, that’s also why is makes sense that the remaining empire has it. During the “great purge of Mandalore” many Mandalorians died which forced the remaining mandalorian groups (there are more of them) to operate in secrecy and to leave their home planet. There are very few Mandalorians left, which is why they are rare to come across.
