Elena having a hard time seeing Stefan any where close to human blood is due to quite a few reasons like her actually having witnessed him attack her when he was compelled by Klaus. Given that he was compelled, but the effect it has on him is what scares her the most. But the biggest reason Elena is very much against Stefan near human blood is because she has always been given the wrong picture and expectations thanks to Stefan living his life in this extreme manner forgetting that at the end of the day he is a vampire. She knows he is a vampire but then think about how he has always been trying to live as a human so then her expectations have been the same. I am not defending her because I myself support Damon's statement that at "they're predators and not puppies". And honestly I don't like her attitude at this point at all with Damon because to say things like "you're not the best person to teach him control" is bullshit. I wish someone would just understand that actually no one better than Damon can teach control to his baby brother if only both Elena and Stefan could be on the same page, things would be easier. I love that Damon never sugarcoats things with Elena or Stefan. He is telling both of them nothing but facts which is to accept that being a vampire is the truth of Stefan's life. He needs to stop pretending like that isn't the truth. I love how literally calls out on how their relationship is all about rainbows and unicorns which lacks reality. "Own it, Live it, Love it and Stop being ashamed of yourself"!! Preach Damon. No he isn't saying go kill innocent people and tear them apart without being guilty but instead he is trying to make Stefan understand that if he stops drowning himself in guilt it will become easier to learn control and do better in the future. There will always be days when you can mess up bad and will be guilty but that doesn't mean you turn to the other side and pretend that this side doesn't exist. Anyhow, I'm very happy seeing that Stefan was able to control himself around Meredith despite all the blood around him. Now that didn't just happen but it happened because he wasn't starving/craving for human blood all these days instead he has been feeding himself using blood bags and that has helped him control his urge. I just hope he continues to see this as a positive thing and help himself. Meredith poor woman, to be stuck in the house with a man going crazy attacking you can be the most horrible and fearful thing but seriously she did amazing! And I'm so glad she was saved in time and is living because otherwise her death would be another added factor of guilt for both Alaric and Elena and we know they don't need it. For Abby , don't even know what to say but she is one of those people who seriously just cannot try for other people. I am not saying she has to force herself to stay if she doesn't want to but then I wish she would stop giving Bonnie the false hope. It's just so bad. Damon always has a plan!! Rebekah and Sage honestly had a great plan. I do believe they met up earlier and because they had common interest they did the smart thing by teaming and getting Damon to find the information and lead them to it. But then again they were stupid to believe Damon would let things go so easily. Obviously he did give a chance to Sage and like always he doesn't hesitate to spill the facts about how Finn isn't even interested in living. The Wickery Bridge has it's own role in this show; a lot of life changing things happened here😂but glad the sign is going to be put to some good use. Smart thing, Alaric had forgotten to take it earlier because otherwise Damon wouldn't have that secret weapon.

This episode highlight the importance of family bonds and the result of the lack of them. We have to polar opposite behaviour, Alaric and Bonnie’s mom. It’s not Alaric fault that the ring and all the time he cheat death brought him to the present situation where his inner dark side is triggers, and now is in killing mode, his dark side is reaction to what has happen to him, his wife left him to became a vampire and his girlfriend was killed by one, not to mention Damon killing him. But as responsible person he leaves everything in order to make sure that Elena and Jeremy are protected. At the same time Elena, Bonnie, Stefan and Damon come together for damage control, they are family now and they came together to protect him from himself. His dark side is vengeful, bend on punish the council members that, in his opinion, have a hypocritical attitude regarding to the goals the council was created for, to protect humans from vampires. On the other hand, Caroline is there for Bonnie, but Bonnie’s mom is a coward, can’t handle changes and between family and herself, she always chose herself at the cost of hurting everybody, Bonnie especially, as usual she bailed on her. Sometimes the family you chose is a better family than the one you are born into. It is also sad to see Elena feeling alone and wanting to hear Jeremy’s voice, but she sent him away and she is dealing with things alone, she compelled him to move on and he did, So as the song said “Some things you can’t go back to, some things need left alone Don’t mess with a memories of a life passed on Oh the tumbling reservations at the heart of my mistakes Oh some things you can’t go back to cause you let them slip away” The songs of this show are chosen so carefully.

I agree. Elena has this delusional picture of Stefan pretending to be human and she definitely think that that is the way to be back to, a time when Stefan was understandale. This reality is harsh to accept. The scene between Elena and Damon in the parking lot it's complex. On one side Damon is defending his brother from harsh judgment, on the other hand he is frankly telling Elena on the reality of the situation. I had the feelings that she said that sentence "perhaps you are not the best person to teach control" mostly because Damon was winning argument after argument, with facts, she would say something and he would rebuff with facts dismantling her reasoning. So for her to admit he is totally right on everything it would imply so many things she doesn't want to face right now, including that Damon is way more stable and reliable than Stefan ever was and the relationship she had with Stefan was based on false reality "rainbows and unicorn". but most of all that she find herself concurring with Damon far more than she care to admit. So, she pushes Damon away with the only possible argument he can't rebuff, a personal attack, because when you make a criticism to Damon, he doesn't defend himself, and even if she doesn't believe what she said, it is a self defence mechanism there, not a real criticism to Damon. And he let her win, as an adults do, stopping an argument because reality is hurting that person he cares and he need to back down to give her time to digest things.

It was a complex and many undercurrent layers to the moment. I get that Elena is having a hard time accepting the hard hitting reality and she is trying to win the argument by hitting Damon back with these kind of rebuttals and although it puts me off at times; I get it from her perspective.

I love it when Damon told Stefan “Own it, live it, love it. Stop being ashamed of yourself.” It seems simple but is a statement to take ownership of your actions and stop being delusional. I agree with you, Archna; Damon didn't mean for Stefan to go on a killing spree but to accept that he is a vampire and that he could get help with his ripper issues if Stefan tries.

I agree with you guys about Bonnie’s mother. Abby is a coward. She rather runs from her responsibilities than face them.
