Harrryyyy! I think you are reading the Patrick and Ivan dynamic badly. I truly believe iván was secretly upset at the party because he actually wanted the date with Patrick but got Ari as consolation. He was going to accept it until he learned it was due to losing out to his dad. He did spend the bath time trying to talk himself out of having sex.. But Ari then talked him back into it. Then seeing them in the pool after solidified how he feels. It killed the fantasy he had in his head with being with both of them... seeing his dad and Patrick making out. Plus the fact that he learned in that moment that his dad might also like guys... Especially Patrick. That's how I read it

Forget love triangles, the writers gave us this creepy love pentagon that has way too many family members. I don't blame Ivan for being confused about his feelings for Ari and Patrick. If you think about the timeline of events, he had sex with Ari on the boat like a day or two before he slept with Patrick. I agree with you Harry though on the fact that Ivan and Ari had no respect for Patrick or Samuel's feelings. The fact that Ivan doesn't seem to mind sharing Ari with her boyfriend, but is heartbroken seeing Patrick with someone else says a lot. I know a big part of his hurt is because its with his dad, but I think Ivan would have been upset seeing Patrick with anyone else. Ivan's whole life with his dad has been nothing but chaotic. Patrick being the one person who gives him peace and makes him feel good is so beautiful. That's why Ivan's behavior angered me so much. Why would you ruin such a special relationship for a girl who treats you like a side piece?!

Also, Cruz's manipulation of both Ivan and Patrick was so freaking gross. He pushed Ivan towards Ari by making Ivan think that he would disapprove of a relationship with a guy. Cruz also lied and told Patrick that Ivan told him that he likes Ari more.

I disagree tbh, the way he approached Patrick and Ari felt so wrong cause he knows how Patrick feels for him yet he came over and kind of shoved it in his face that he got a date with Ari, even if he secretly wanted Patrick, thats a shitty thing to do. In terms of his fantasy of being with both of them, I deffo agree that that was shattered the second he saw Patrick and his Dad, but the fact he persued both of them in the first place feels so wrong to me. The fact he got with her when she has a boyfriend too also puts a bad taste in my mouth. The way I see it Patrick deserves 100% and if Ivan can't offer that then he needs to tell him and break it off. Everyone has their own take on stuff tho so people are bound to see things differently, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

I am not condoning Ivan's actions. I guess I am just able to see his motives and his tortured/conflicted feelings. It probably also doesn't help that his only adult role model is his dad, who has not ever expressed a true emotion in their entire life together. Not exactly a solid foundation for Ivan to be expected to make the right decisions. Ari is not allowed to be a scapegoat either. She seems to be the least faithful person in the entire series. Just giving herself to whatever father/supportive figure around her, who is also willing to give her their attention. Dad issues, anyone????? She is actively pursuing both Samu and Ivan. Nothing in this show is healthy. so what really is our basis to judge :D

Ivan and Ari really have zero respect for Patrick and Samuel. I don't even like the latter two all that much, but that is just not cool. And yeah, Phillipe being disgusting like always.
