checking out your merlin reactions while i wait for your heartstopper s2 ep 3 reaction, aha - idk if anyone has said in the past year this has been out, aha, but i do believe in some places it says gaius is merlin's uncle? so hunith's (merlin's mum) older brother. at the very least that's a common theory within the fandom, but it's never really confirmed in the show, which is slightly frustrating bc there's this gaping hole of information abt these characters that we're just not privy to bc hunith and gaius don't get much screentime together. avalon is a separate thing, but albion is basically what they called great britain - idk the full history of it but it's basically another name for the country. (but they basically want to make it become the united kingdom, as far as i can tell from the way they word it)

i do believe it is a spelling variation of the name guinevere, as its a welsh name, but yeah it's supposed to be spelt guinevere.

It's crazy reading the previous comment on this one because you're one of my fav Heartstopper reactors on YT and I'm going mad waiting for s3 in Oct so I came here and was blessed with the full series of Merlin. Great first episode reaction! I absolutely love this iteration of the Arthurian legend.

Unapologetically love that Stargate lore is tripping you up with names and such -edit- also they absolutely butchered Gwen's name for the captioning here. Must have been some phonetic mistake on the part of the captioner

You asked about when the medieval ages were. They were (approximately) 600-1400 or so. A lot of people would put the bounds specifically at the fall of Rome in 493 to the fall of Constantinople in 1453, but you know it's all approximate. And things changed a lot over those 1000 years. I think the Arthurian legend is from the earlier section of that time period, but TV shows probably don't take the most care to make sure everything is period specific, it just has to look "old"
