Stefan is being Stefan, self-righteous about things and everything is about him, his experience and his way of doing things that of course in his mind is the right way. He is not a good listener and his way is very judgemental. Damon on the other hand is not judgemental at all, and Elena’s know s that. That is why she goes to him, all the time to ask for help, she knows she can get it, from him. And that is what he did, he is in the bar grieving for Alaric, keeping everybody from sitting on his seat, Liz pop out and accuse him to have killed the council, than while he is trying to stay out of it, Elena show up and ask him form help, she doesn’t want to feed on animal, she doesn’t want to feed on humans, she is starving...the only thing left is vampire blood, his blood. It is personal, Vicky explained that Damon's blood was so good. Klaus gave his blood to Caroline to save her, not from a glass but from his vein directly while embracing her, and Elena’s and Damon's face was very explicit in the bathroom of what they felt, let’s not bite around the bush, what it was....exchange of body fluids....it’s sexual. Damon told her it was personal and she must have felt it judging by her face and the intensity she was dying into it, she didn't just drank, she indulge into it lingering, and Damon's face is pretty self explanatory of what he was feeling, Damon didn’t lie to Stefan about it, it was him to tell him about it. Why Stefan wants to impose the bunny diet on Elena, a diet that not even Caroline, the perfect vampire, can sustain? Because the entire premises of Stefan and Elena relationship is base the fact that Elena is not Katherine, she is the good doppelganger, so she has to be kept good. But Elena is Elena and her journey on her being a vampire, is her journey and everybody react differently according to how they were as humans. Elena told him she is straggling and he dismissed it, he immediately related that to himself. Damon on the contrary listens and he is very sweet with her, at the church with the blood bag, with the dress, he comes running, to help her. He doesn’t tell Stefan not to manipulate the situation, but to avoid drama, as he explain to Alaric at the end, he feels like he is left taking care of children behaving like children.

Hi Harry, hope you're doing much better now and please take care of yourself and if you need time off, just drop us a note and it's good. Although I was becoming impatient, I understand the priority should always be the health. Firstly, great observation about Elena's dressing sense has changed which is supposed to make her look mature and slightly different. She is different from human Elena, and she isn't like Katherine. I swear Nina Dobrev aced all these different aspects!! I think in this show, she truly had all the possible opportunities to showcase her skills. Speaking about the episode, it's becoming intense for vampire Elena with Damon and Stefan having yet again differing opinions on how to help her navigate this journey! I agree with you that the arguments both Damon and Stefan raised were valid and they were speaking from their own experiences and what they must have seen around. But I think Stefan is being rigid about it to an extent. I understand that you want Elena to try out the bunny diet to begin with because just maybe it might work but it's not okay to dismiss her words like "It made me sick". Elena did express to Stefan that it wasn't something her body accepted but Stefan didn't take it seriously. I would give him the benefit of doubt that okay he must have thought that it's normal so let's not dig too deep into it. But did he not feel the need to check up on her later to know how is she feeling? I mean look at Elena when she is in the church, she looks weak. Elena goes to Damon to seek help because that is someone, she has always gone for help in the past too and like she said he understands. Damon wasn't going after Elena just to keep tabs on whether she was doing good or not with the whole animal blood thing. He was on his own mourning the absence of his drinking buddy. She is the one who goes to tell him that I am struggling, and he wasn't surprised at the least. She rejects the idea of drinking from a human and animal blood isn't keeping down....so he offers what he could in the moment which was his blood. He says it's personal and don't tell Stefan because he knows it is wrong, but I don't think he gave a damn at this moment. It was just about wanting to help out Elena and it being personal didn't matter to him because this was a girl, he loves so it's okay on his part to share this moment with her. However, I agree that with Elena it does make one question that, did Elena understand the context of personal before indulging in it? Maybe not but once she starts drinking from him, she fully let herself dive into it. And I don't think she regretted it one bit. She didn't seem upset with Damon and it's the truth because again in the church when she is a mess, she calls Damon and not Stefan. I don't think Damon was trying to take advantage of her at all because it wasn't like he had planned things to happen the way it did. I am not saying he wasn't wrong to let Elena indulge into the intimate moment but it's also not fair to say that he was taking advantage of her. But then again, it's just my opinion. Also, even though Damon was the one to say, "Don't tell Stefan", he was the one to tell Stefan about it. Elena didn't tell Stefan so I disagree that she couldn't hide it if she wanted. It's actually Damon who can't keep the truth to himself, he knew he's brother was going to mad rightfully, so he took the punch. I am not going to dismiss Stefan's feelings. I get it that he is feeling territorial and insecure about Damon being the person Elena chose to share her struggle with her and not him. To add to it drinking from Damon was also something he couldn't take casually because it means a lot. However, I just wish he would take a moment to think about practically and think about why Elena didn't come to him for help? And she does tell him "Damon would understand" but he isn't paying attention. Instead, he ends up telling again and again that her feelings are heightened and that's why she is behaving like this. It's like he isn't trying to look at things from Elena's pov. She is already feeling miserable thanks to starving and his reaction is just adding to her guilt. I liked how you picked up on the fact that maybe Elena was feeling embarrassed about sharing her struggle with Stefan because of how she would be judging things as a human in the past. But then I think that Elena wasn't that strict with Stefan, she majorly judged Damon instead. Although Damon was the big bad vampire out in the open, she somehow held him to higher standards and would express her disappointment when he didn't keep up. Yet he is the one she goes for help because the good thing about Damon has always been he isn't judgmental. He lets people be who they're good or bad, because he knows what it is like to be judged. I loved his little chat in the Cemetry with ghost Alaric expressing how he feels like he is stuck with the children. He doesn't get involved with the others because that's not his idea of mourning. He doesn't see how it is supposed to help with their pain or grief, so I liked that he did mourn like the rest but in his own way. And before I wrap up this, I am wanna say Kudos to Caroline for motivating Elena to take small steps and start becoming a vampire and using its perks for good reason. And Tyler took one for the team which was really nice. I liked the scene in the church when the squad could communicate with each other because of their vampire perks.

I didn't like how Stefan was indoctrinating how Elena should feed only on animal blood because he feared she would break due to her compassion. Still, Elena is not only a compassionate person, but she is also a brave and bright young lady as well. This is the girl who found out that the brothers are vampires and confronted Stefan about it, and stood up to Damon. She also stood up to Klaus, something that not even Katherine dared to do. For heaven's sake, she staked three originals and takes out the dagger from Elijah, even though she was the one who did it so she could make a deal with him to save the people she loves. This is not the action of a weak or “broken” girl but that of a strong-will-minded lady. I love how Caroline shows Elena that she has what it takes to make it as a vampire, using Elena's compassion as her strength. Damon, trying to have a drink pretending his friend Alaric is beside him, then come to Elena with her problem of not keeping the animal blood down, which doesn't surprise Damon. He proposed Elena to drink blood from someone at the grill, but Elena rejects the idea. At this point, Damon is annoyed with her. Hence, Damon offers her the only thing that comes to mind: his blood because not only is Elena rejecting animal blood, but her physical appearance looks ill. Damon must wonder why Elena comes to him with her problems and not Stefan. maybe this why Damon was angry at Stefan at the church. Damon eventually told Stefan that Elena drank his blood even after he told Elena not to tell Stefan. I don't think Damon gave Elena his blood to piss off Stefan, but instead, he knows how judgemental Stefan can be. Stefan is taking Elena rejecting animal blood as a personal matter against him even after Elena tells him that animal blood makes her sick. I get that Stefan is worried about Elena breaking if she kills someone due to her compassionate nature, but as I previously stated, Elena is more than her compassion. It was not a coincidence when Damon told Stefan that he hoped that Elena was not a fan of Bambi, then BOOM, we see Bambi with doe pretty eyes. What I make of this: Vampires have been hunted down since season 1, and keeping Elena in a bubble due to her “sensibilities” will make her an easier target for vampire enemies.
