I don’t know…Lexi, his brothers oldest and only best friend in the world would have something to say about that. Damon had no good reason to have her killed if we’re being honest. Not to mention eventually stealing his bros one true love while he was forced to become a monster in exchange for helping save his life. Or killing her brother (he got lucky with the ring)I feel like viewers of TVD often overlook the shitty things damon has done as it can be on par to klaus lol

Tbh I always thought that Klaus did want the cure to make hybrids, but him being emotional and impulsive told them that he always planned to kill them and destroy the cure instead

Awesome reaction! I found your youtube channel a few months ago and just joined your Patreon recently, it has been so great binging your reactions! Idk if you realized this yet because I am so far behind but just because Kol and Finn were daggered for so long doesn't mean their vampire bloodlines are any smaller. The people that they turned into vampires before they were daggered would have still been going around turning people into vampires the whole time Klaus kept them in the coffins. It's not all based on who Kol and Finn turned directly.

Sorry to strongly disagree with you but I have fact that contradict your statements. The Originals is a great show compared to most show out there, but most definitely not the favourite with fandom in the TVD universe, TVD is. I don't know where you got this idea, but is incorrect. TVD during pandemic period was streamed 14 billion times, TVD has the rewatchability factor that TO doesn't have. In the IMDb that is the official site used by professionals in the industry of cinema and television, in their list of the most watched show of all times TVD is n 17, TO is not in the list. Not to talk about in term of quality, writing, originality, depth, acting, cinematography, TVD won 37 Awards, TO none, that is not by chance. There is no doubt that Joseph Morgan does Klaus justice, and he is one of the best villain of any TV show I've ever seen, apart from Nina that plays Katherine so differently by Elena that the audience forget that is the same actress, that is why she won 10 awards and Joseph one but during TVD as best villain, not in TO. Also in terms of complexity, of good writing, good acting, sorry to disagree again but Damon is the most interesting Character of all TVD universe and his complexity come the closest a character can get to a human complexity, an no other character have seen in any TV show has surpass that, so far, and nobody else could have play Damon so well as Ian Somerhalder played it, audiences and technical jury seem to agree since he won for the role 10 awards too, some shared with Nina for their chemistry. My point is you have to check facts before making assumption or give statements as they are fact and instead are just personal opinions and very personal preferences based of not understanding the complexity of things, the quality of writing and the quality of cinematography involved in show like TVD. Here we prefer to distinguish what is factual, for what is a personal opinion. Your statements are not factual are personal opinions that cannot be pass for facts because not only are not backed up by facts, but are contradicted. TO is not a fan favourite, fact, TO is not better in terms of quality of writings, fact, or in terms of acting, Joseph Morgan is fantastic but is not the best actor of the TVDU, fact and I can't enter into detail because I can't give spoilers. So please, do not give the reactor statements passed for fact, that haven't been checked if they are based on reality and on objectivity or not, because is misleading to him that cannot check for facts without getting spoilers and have to rely on what we tell him.

The beauty of a fantasy show is that you can step out reality an experience feeling and challenge your normal moral compass, stepping out in uncharted territory, since you enter in a different house that is not yours, and by doing that you have to leave your usual self outside the door and accept the rules of the house, that are dictated by the writers. If they are particularly good as in this case, they will challenge you to see things from a different prospective. The main goals here is anti discriminatory, don’t be so quick to judge what is different from you because it could be a good thing, or drop the hatred for what is different from you, because at the end of the day different could be enriching and even beneficial; all the various component, witch, werewolf, vampires, hunters, humans with their skills perform at their best when they combine their skills and work together. Also let not forget that this show is American, that they have the death penalty, we in Europe, don’t have it, so it is even challenging in that position, people that have done bad things sometimes need compassion too, because motivation, back ground, circumstances are a huge mitigator factor. So let get to the point of Damon and Klaus difference. Both of them have horrible fathers, that hate them, at the point that Damon was killed by his father and Klaus had his father chasing him to kill him. Therefore they are both insecure about their value, but how they react is very different. Damon has difficulty in controlling his emotions when treated badly and unfairly but never burden his brother or the people he loves with his traumas; Klaus has outburst of rage especially with his own family, when he feels betrayed, or when his status as feared original vampire is threaten or put to question, power is Klaus motivation because with power he is in control; Damon doesn’t care about power, Damon motivation is love, everything he does, he does out f love, for his brother, Elena, the people he cares, and himself because he is alone in defending himself from people that wants to kill him, and he takes matter on his hand to defend the people he loves and by doing that you have to get your and dirty and do what other wouldn’t do, what is necessary to survive. He does things with higher purpose, survival. Klaus purpose is to maintain control and power. I would say one is an antihero, and one is a villain. There are different categories, the heroes, Bonnie, Matt, Tyler, Alaric, Jeremy but heroes not always are right and correct; there are antiheroes, Damon and Stefan, living in the grey area, they have different degree of flawed and good qualities, and there are villains that are very flawed, some with redeemable qualities some not, but everybody is the hero of their own story. That is why the writers challenge your point of view, your prospective on things to be though provoking and to challenge your normal moral compass to find compassion even where you normally wouldn’t have think to feel it for a “monster”.

If you see the chart carefully, TVD had more viewers than TO. The number of viewers started declining for TO in season 3, episode 5. After 3:5, The only episodes that reached a million viewers were 3:8, 3:10, and 4:10 but afterward, the ratings for each TO episode kept declining. As for TVD, the rating started dropping in season 5:17 but not as significantly low as TO, nor did it begin with the high rating as TVD did.

Also the beauty of the writing is that they always give you the two side of the story that counterbalance. On one side Elena protecting her family her brother from Kol harming him and herself from getting killed and Damon. On the other hand Klaus watched his brother being killed in front of his eyes without been able to do anything because he couldn't come in. The rage and the tears in his eyes said it all. And also Kol is a spiritual character that hanged out with witches for long time so he is likely to be right regarding Silas and what if he is? They are all tempering with stuff they know nothing about.
