im almost 100% sure we are getting a s3. this season did much bigger numbers AND edvin and omar are going on fucking jimmy fallon (!!!) thursday next week, which i feel kinda confirms s3. imagine if they announce it on the show thatd be so cool.

as an autistic person i can tell you that yes, asperger is outdated, its all just autism no matter what. the diagnosis was removed from the DSM in 2013, but its unfortunately still used in some countries and by some therapists. i say unfortunately cause its very problematic. !!TW NAZISM, HOLOCAUST!! the term asperger comes from a man named hans asperger. he was a nazist pediatrician, lived during ww2. the kids he considered ''functional'' were diagnosed with aspergers, the kids he deemed ''unfit'', the kids who needed more support, he sent to be killed. being diagnosed with aspergers can also lead to internalized ableism. ive seen people want to hold on to that diagnosis to not be grouped in with the ''low functioning'' autistic ppl. these functioning labels came from hans asperger and have done loads of damage. at the end of the day we are all just autistic, and thats the only term that should be used.

I have so enjoyed your reactions to season two, Harry. Thanks for all the time and effort and thoughtful insights. ❤️ What a finale to an incredible season which really put us all through emotional turmoil. Just hoping that we might get a season three, as there’s been a lot of speculation that because Omar and Edvin are due to be guests on a late night show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday I believe, there might be an announcement. Whatever the outcome,it’s still a really high profile show and amazing publicity for the two of them and the show itself. I wouldn’t be sad if it was left like this, but there’s still a lot that could be explored, especially with Simon and Wilhelm as a couple. Apparently season 2 of Heartstopper has concluded filming and I heard they are filming it back to back with season three to avoid Joe and Kit growing too much between seasons! Lots to look forward to. 😊

And Wilhelm did say ‘I love you’ back to Simon by giving that speech, overcoming his fear of public speaking and anxiety issues to do so and declaring that he was the person in the video with Simon for everyone to witness, including the media. As you said, even if the Court tried to suppress the story, too many students have their phones out recording. It would be impossible. If they’re smart, they will support Wilhelm and make themselves look enlightened in the process, the hypocrites, despite having forced him to deny everything previously. Interesting possibility for season 3, if we do get it?

What an amazing sign of love from Wilhelm by not letting Simon settle for a two years secret relationship - but put it out there in the open. Just like Simon always wanted, and honestly always deserved. 💯❤️

One thing I still haven't figured out is: Why didn't the Queen tell August that she knew it was him who uploaded the video? It seems not that important anymore but she had known about it before Wille did. August was under the impression that the Court didn't know, that's why he came up with the whole Alexander scheme, to keep it secret from them. And if Jan-Olof is like the main person responsible for strategic PR decisions, shouldn't be have known too?

The Queen did say that what he had done was inexcusable when August sat down in front of her at the palace so she was more or less telling him to his face that she not only knew but thought what he had done was despicable, although she gave the impression that she was more concerned about the damage to the reputation of the Royal Family than any damage to Wilhelm himself. She also said that making him the back up was not her idea and mentioned August’s father and how close she had been to him, suggesting that she was partly doing this softened by her memory of him. Jan-Olaf is pretty impatient with August and makes it clear that he’s not to create any problems, suggesting that he probably does know.

Also I think August came up with the idea about Alexander so that the blame would be taken by someone outside the Royal family, deflecting the story away from them, or as he saw it, protecting them, really of course, protecting himself. He manipulated Alexander by turning him against Wilhelm and assuring him that if he was prosecuted, the Court would make sure he got off by employing the best lawyers in Sweden.😡
