i will say, this episode brought up the theory for me that morgause did this exact same thing to morgana and that's why morgana completely turned on everyone she once loved. (uther she was already growing to hate, but maybe morgause wanted to be sure of morgana's loyalty by turning her against everyone?) i would almost have preferred that to morgana making the choice all on her own to turn on arthur, gwen, merlin etc. it would make a lot of sense to me.
