Google Drive Tip: It takes time for Google Drive to process videos. If it says "still processing" or is only allowing you to view at 360p, then you can always come back later or download the video in full

Dropbox Tip: The quality of the video is lower while streaming so I recommend downloading or using google drive if thats an issue

Great reaction as always, thank you! For someone who is regularyly team "read the book first" I'm gonna start unconventionally: The movie captured the whole vibe of the book very well! Especially the long lasting shots you mentioned a few times reflect the pacing of the storytelling. There are a lot of long descriptions of what Elio is thinking and everything looks like etc. However, my main concern is with the casting for Oliver: In the book he's supposed to be like 24, and all the people I talked to and who had only watched the movie assumed he was like 30. I get that the age gap for a lot of people would still be problematic since Elio is not of age (allthough legally this would be allowed in almost every european country). But in the book, Oliver seemed more juvenile compared to the movie. So in that regard I felt a lot more comfortable reading the book. But then again, the movie did "smoothen" the relationship between the two of them. All over all Oliver seemed more toxic in the book. Long story short: Great book AND (as alwas slightly different but) great movie. That's rare ;)

I don't know what you mean by Elio is not of age. Elio is of legal age to consent in Italy (14 I believe) in the location he lives. He is also of legal age to consent from where Oliver lives in the United States. The US doesn't have a set age of consent. The most common age of consent in the US is 16. In the US at the time this story is being told age of consent varies between 16 - 18 based on the state. Oliver lives in New York State, age of consent is 17. Elio is 17 years of age. Oliver is also 24. Most states also have a stipulation for age of consents (though not all) if it's under 18, about how much older the other person is. 24 is younger then the age that would negate the age of consent in New York. Now a large amount of Entertainment is made in California. That states age of consent is 18. And in general unless a show is specific about its location, Hollywood will default to using 18 as an age of consent just to be on the safe side. But if they use a real location and its stated, Then usually will actually use the actual age of consent where the story is taking place.
