Enjoyed the episode and your reaction. I have a slightly different take on Rachel apparently getting back with Shane. i think it's assumed that Shane has become a different person, having just killed somebody. A changed person, realizing his mistakes in life and on this vacation. He sees that his feud with the manager resulted in alienating his wife and killing the manager. And by the way, I am sure he would not be charged with murder--the manager broke into his room and left evidence in the suitcase.

That’s a good question. Seems like killing someone would have a profound effect on many people. He can afford a good therapist. He needs therapy anyway because of his mom. By the way the actress who plays his mom, Molly Shannon, is famous for her outrageous characters on Saturday Night Live.
