I don’t blame Eve’s husband, Niko, for getting mad that she putting herself in danger. Eve is smart in some ways, but she’s not being smart at all when comes to Villanelle. Like Niko said, she’d not saving the world, she’s getting off on indulging the weird obsession she has for female series killers (I’m paraphrasing). Eve is not being very professional, she’s becoming obsessed with Villanelle as a person, not solving crimes. And she’s not just putting herself in danger, she’s putting her husband in danger too. And she put her team in danger in the last ep too, when she got out the car to talk to Villanelle who was armed and dangerous. That was foolish of her, but she just wanted make a personal connection with Villanelle. Eve is an interesting character, but she is very flawed. Her motivations are all over the place and she doesn’t even know what she wants, but she definitely not just out to “save the world” in her pursuit of Villanelle, as Niko said.
