I think it's one of those plants that turns purple when it's healthy, but I'll double check. Um.... Where'd all the gardening stuff go?

Nah, that's how it's supposed to look. It's a wonderful plant, the Norwegian Purplewood. Lovely branches, brilliant purple glow; matches the decor quite nicely! Oh, and uh, don't worry about the lack of foliage; it's just restin'. It'll come out all leafy when it's ready.
