What are your thoughts on Byakuya being alive now that you have the full context? Personally, I haven't seen anything from him that deserved him being alive. Even the Rukia scene could have been easily incorporated into the hell arc. His death would have meant so much for Renji's, Rukia's and Ichigo's characterisation.
