Do you actually think its worth it to watch this anime? It seems to me like it doesnt know how to handle the main character's emotions really well

Whether or not it's worth it depends on what you want to get out of it. It is very classic shonen, with the same tropes that the genre tends to stick to. It isn't very complex or deep, and it definitely isn't on the level of HxH (in my opinion). But if you want a fun watch with some hype fights, it's worth it. If you want a masterpiece, it's not.

What I love most about Bakugo is his home life. I have not been keeping up with the anime so this may be spoiler-ish. There's a time when you meet his mom, after that I was like, now it all makes sense. lol

I don't think I've seen his mom in the anime yet (unless I'm just forgetting her), but no worries haha. I'm interested to see what she's like.
