The pacing is perfect. People are forgetting that we don't KNOW Axel's sexuality, whether he's repressing it or if he even knows what he is. We know Axel has experienced a LOT of trauma. Also Axel is doing this as a deal, he's basically a sex worker which is probably messing him up mentally. This might be a lust experiment for Kai, but Axel probably feels like whøre. We know Kai has a crush but we don't know what Axel is going through. The pacing should be slow. If this was real life this type of situation could lead someone to substance abuse and stuff

"want me to return the favor" is a little less than credible. I seriously can't imagine Kai even being curious about an insertee role in any context. He must *really* have a crush. And that wasn't originally what we thought was happening -- it was more of a battle of wills -- which Kai frankly seems to be losing at this point.
