So it turns out that I’m actually REALLY sad that Onyx didn’t text Keane sooner. 10 days! And he didn’t check in once… 😢 Also I agree wholeheartedly with the comment by kandi above. I’m actually really happy for the slow burn to continue but I personally hope it’s less with other people’s involvement and more just a slow burn between Onyx and Keane. Ok, before I touch on the frustration that is these two lovebirds, I have to say the coach made this episode for me. 🤣 Also, Axel doesn't realize this, but he was just inadvertently a wingman for these two, because now they will be forced to face each other for three days. 😏 *Long inhale* On to it then. And I have a feeling Ethan knows there is nothing between Keane and Hailey, but mum is the word for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he's not saying anything about it, using this to his advantage to keep Onyx and Keane apart (tsk, tsk). Onyx, you're a fool for following that advice, and to the T at that...the nerve boy. Your best friend disappeared after you pushed him away, because some boy who happens to be interested in you is being a temporary safety blanket from your true feelings and angst from what is truly a misunderstanding. I'm sorry, but his kiss couldn't have been that earth shattering to make you jump to cutting someone so dear to you off like that. Now you're feeling the pain (and I sense regret), but Onyx, guess what? You deserve to feel this. Let it simmer, take it in. Painful, right? One of Onyx’s thoughts a while ago was that he wouldn’t mind dressing up as Lynx if it was something that Keane liked. Onyx seemed to quite like the effect Lynx has on Keane! Also, Keane has been able to separate the fact that he loves Onyx from it just being an attraction to Lynx BUT we also know that he quite likes the thought of Onyx in a bra (and he did buy that dress for him). I envisage healthy future exploration for both of them…which hopefully means we haven’t seen the last of Lynx!

You know, I kinda find it REALLY suspicious that Ethan kept telling Onyx numerous times not to reach out to Keane. Hailey and Ethan probably tell each other everything, so I’m assuming Hailey told Ethan about how Keane is no longer interested in her and is in love with ‘Lynx’. So he would know how Keane feels about Onyx, and he already knows how Onyx feels about Keane, which means that he’s deliberately trying to keep them apart. i usually overthink things a lot, but in this webtoon i don’t think ethan and hailey are “teaming up” or whatever the comments are saying, i just genuinely think that ethan is kind of jealous of keane and said to onyx to keep his distance bc of jealousy, but also maybe because he genuinely thinks that it will make him feel better. I also think that hailey isn’t as bad as everyone is saying, in the chapter where they had an argument at the park, even though she said some out of pocket things, she still apologised. I don't think they're teaming up nor that they are like villains or anything, but Ethan is definitely being a jerk. Even if he thinks he's doing the best for Onyx, he's proving to be a small minded person who can only see one side of the story and is acting a lot in his own interest. I like this story a lot cause it's not black and white, all the characters are so human and real, including the ones we don't like. But Ethan is proving to be someone who I'd never want to be close with, for real. And truth to be told, Onyx is in bad shape right now too, cause on one hand it's understandable how confused and hurt he is, while on the other, he's being a jerk not reaching out for his best friend after everything that's happened. Anyway, let's see what happens next hehe

I know people are mad at Ethan (mostly cuz he’s getting in the way of their otp) but when you remember that Onyx thinks Keane is straighter than a ruler he’s actually giving very good advice! Falling for the straight bff is a gay trope for a reason. Kinda like crushing on a hot teacher in middle school, it’s something people often do before they’re ready to act on their feelings and have a real relationship because the other party isn’t actually available. Unless Onyx is Keanesexual only (which it doesn’t look like he considers himself to be) then it would actually be healthier for him to focus on guys who are interested than pining for someone he thinks isn’t. It’s not anyone’s fault that all us readers know more than the characters do. 😂
