Normally, I would agree with you. However, the lack of communication, and the fact that they keep failing to meet the estimated time frame they keep giving, only to go silent for who knows how long... It does nothing to help people's trust, or desire to cut them some slack. First, they claimed the first half of November (the end of that period is almost a month ago). Then, on November 2nd(over a month and a week ago) we where told "soon". 28 days later, we get told they're wrapping stuff up for a beta launch, and it'll be 4-8 days. At the particular time of writing, it is now the start of Day 10. They constantly did this with Camp Pinewood 1. Now we're getting it from the get go with 2.

Yeah, the time frame is nuts. If expected to deliver a project in x time, it would be comical to give a time frame of x to literally 2x. To then miss the 2x window would just be embarrassing.

The thing that's even more frustrating for me is nobody is forcing them to set these deadlines. These are deadlines they have set themselves that they have now failed to meet twice in a row. Its just ridiculous.

As we are only looking at Ver 0.1 we are not getting the full game. At worst, an alpha version of the game that's fairly buggy (to be expected for an alpha release). At best, a fairly bug free beta version (bugs still expected, not a full polished experience). The most I expect is some communication if you find you can't meet a deadline. A business can not expect to function by keeping their backers in the dark, missing deadlines by a long shot, and keeping radio silent. If a problem popped up, tell us. They don't have to go into detail, just hey, we hit a road block, and we need to push things back a bit more. Something that tells us (the fanbase and people funding the product/business) that they are trying to stay on top of things, rather then just being lazy or that they just don't care.

Yes summertime saga actually so progress and you track on thier website. Also cookie pits out updat every two months. This Patreon really doesn't give much annocement on what is going on.

I used to be a maximum contributor until promised updates ceased to happen. I won't mind the wait if the content is good and will increase my donation again, but I hope the wait isn't met with bugs and crashes. Lets see how this pans out.
