Hey everyone, so with the recent climax of Endless Legacy and winding down that fic, I wanted to get this Vibe Check started sooner than later, to effectively get a mandate from all of you before I put too much time into something the majority of my patrons don't want.

Essentially, as of right now I am planning to replace Endless Legacy with another DC Comics fic. However, if the majority of my patrons want me to take a break from DC and do another setting instead, I want to know as early as possible.

Right now, the barebones idea I have for this next DC fic would be 'magic-based'. Obviously, certain parts of Endless Legacy skirted close to the vast amount of magic going on in the DC universe, but with characters like Raven falling to the wayside and characters like Zatanna Zatara never getting shown at all, I figured a magic-focused DC fic could explore things that Endless Legacy did not.

That said, I do not really have any more than that so far except for suggestions over in the Discord, so if you do vote for replacing Endless Legacy with a magic-focused DC fic, feel free to also shoot me ideas in the comments below on what you personally would like to see in such a thing!

In the event that Option 2 wins and the majority choose 'a different setting entirely', there will probably be further Vibe Checks in the coming weeks to help me nail down exactly which setting/story idea people would want to see the most!

I liked this story mostly because the mc was an oc. I don’t know why but every time I see a dc or marvel prompt poll with a male character from that universe I have a hard time believing them in the situation listed. Like I get that Batman fucks and I have enough long boxes to back up my knowledge on the subject, but most of these situations seem so out of character.

Wait if u do decide to do a GOT fic then also consider doing a werewolf Robb stark who gets his powers just before the red wedding which he obviously uses to stop the red wedding from happening

Finish Domineering Dragon imo it's been years since there were any updates to it so I'm guessing there isn't going to be any pick back up in commission of it.

Lol yeah, that's a dead fic forevermore. The Sleeping Dragon was already the Spiritual Successor of Domineering Dragon designed to 'finish' the idea off as a story poll after the commissioner dropped Domineering Dragon haha. Still, very deep cut xD

I feel like it's almost taunting Murphy to say it out loud, but I'm very much into a bit more DC focused on the magical side of the aisle. I will say I think it all works much better when you can work with an OC rather than a pre-established character. I have no real interest in seeing another fic where John Constantine fucks everything, then fucks up everything, then gets fucked up by everything.

Obviously inspired by some other stuff online but I like the idea of a deal made by Constantine or Zatara for fae help in a magical crisis. Deal involves their firstborn child, they had plans to get out of it later but the deal was more literal. The child is given to their mortal parent changling style and matures/ages quickly due to being half fae, obviously the half fae child is the intended MC. I think it’d be fun to see the JL have to deal with funky fae shenanigans, a very lawful chaotic character follows rules to an absolute chaotic degree.

Honestly im not a big fan of the majority of magic characters in DC, with a few exceptions. Personally I'm hoping for a Mobuseka fic.

The majority of the folks voting on your polls like OC main characters, but I don't much care for it unless the entire setting is original. If it was a magic-based DC where... Say... One of the Robins that went on their own way fell into magic and went that route in contrast to Batman? That would be epic. But random OC who I am not invested in? Not so much, for me.

Maybe a counter to Shazam in some way. Perhaps using demonic powers. I think there was Sabbac, but could throw in some succubi or similar lewd magical powers and have a different acronym. Maybe Lilith. Gemworld could be a fun concept, it is one of the more defined magical parts. Maybe a new Lord of Order, but not as much of a prude as Fate. A new order.

I'd like a DC fic with a much more steady power-scale. Something where the MC can't just jump straight to god-tier in a dozen chapters or less. I'd like to see one where the story has room to breathe and develop as the MC has to actually learn how to use their powers creatively to get by, and actually EARNS greatness instead of having it handed to him on a platter. The main problem I ended up having with Endless Legacy was how Lucien shot straight to the top with little-to-no effort, destroying any sense of stakes and reducing the story to little more than "which character is he going to fuck this chapter?" Don't get me wrong, I like porn as much as the next guy, but when the story has so little else going for it, it starts to come off as stale and repetitive very quickly.
