Yes, I am on my break but as the January Movie will be one of the first things I film when I get back, I do indeed need to know what I am watching.

Let me know what movies you'd like to see me react to the next three months. Vote for as many as you'd like! If a movie gets 20 votes or more, that movie will move onto the next poll!

If a movie hovers around 3 hours or more, I reserve the right to span it over two months. If it's a busy time for my channel or life, finding the time to film that much and not to mention getting it to my editor to cut down can be very difficult. It's all going to depend on what's going on around that time.

Please remember that the comment section of this poll is where you should leave suggestions for the next extra movie reaction poll. I simply cannot look through all of my messages and every post to see if there are suggestions underneath them.

Leaving a comment to remind my future self of the suggestion of Creed once I've reacted to Rocky.

DieWinterkirsche

Eden Lake would be so cool, but there’s some tough competition there 😅

Thomas Corp

Since The Godfather Trilogy did not receive the necessary votes to stay on the poll, I’m going to say The Godfather for the next poll. Likewise, Scorsese’s mob movies got booted out, so I’ll also say let’s put Mean Streets on here and see how it does. If it doesn’t do well, then I’ll run down the list of the others and see how they do. And one that’s perhaps not the most conventional, if anybody’s interested, I’d say the documentary on Disney+, Music by John Williams. And if that’s one you don’t feel would make a good reaction, (it would) I still strongly encourage you to see it in your own time if you don’t wish to see that on camera.

Jordan Love

I love Best In Show and it's sister movie A Mighty Wind. They're so good. But my favorite mockumentary of all time is Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). RIP Brittany Murphy.

Joe Crammond

would love to see you do the Chucky films and tv series in the future

Thomas Corp

Well, you would also need to react to the other Rocky films in between Rocky and Creed before seeing Creed. But I take your point of leaving the reminder.

Ryan

I was pretty crushed at first, but thinking over more, it probably wasn’t a good fit for her anyway, with a three hour movie, a four hour movie, and finally one that’s a more reasonable length but also isn’t that good.

Ryan

Kind of stunned you haven’t seen Best in Show yet, being such a dog person. And this may be the list with the most I’m rooting for ever.

Thomas Corp

Yeah, I had a few four-letter words when it didn’t get the votes, and when both series got the boot. Even if they hadn’t, there was concern for the length of the films on my end as well. I was prepared for Jess to split some of them over the span of two months; I even had suggestions for when to break the first Godfather film. The second one has the built-in intermission, so that’s perfect. The third one (Which is also a goddamn amazing film, it just unfortunately gets vastly overshadowed by its predecessors which are two perfect films, plus, the hype killed it way back when.) is one I could see Jess tackling in one go. Similarly, Casino and The Irishman I was brainstorming when there would be good spots to break up the reaction. All of this is one big reason why I’ve been reticent to suggest Once Upon a Time in America.

Thomas Corp

Funny thing is, I’m not a dog person, and that movie is side-splitting hilarious. The satire is great. Love the cast. I think in the movie, I lose it the most over Parker Posey as the woman is such a goddamn treasure. Shame Ripley isn’t getting the best numbers thus far, but it’s early days. And if it loses, that encourages me to make another suggestion on the next poll when that gets uploaded, even if I’m highly doubtful of its chances of success, I want to, at the very least, give it a shot.

Ryan

This and Karate Kid/Cobra Kai are the franchises that feel the most like one big family, with absolutely everyone still willing to come back to it decades later.

Ryan

And just consider there’s a lost six hour version of that movie, which I’m sure is even better. At least, I’m sure it follows up on that ominous shot of Joe Pesci waiting in the lobby.

Ryan

And she even had the guts to get real braces, unlike Michael Hitchcock.

Thomas Corp

The Joe Pesci of it all is the biggest reason why I’m curious to see the six-hour cut, though I’m sure that’s a pipe dream at this point. The two cuts that I have, the older European cut, and the over four hour extended cut are perfectly wonderful by themselves. There remains the curiosity of what we have never seen, and how it would further enrich the already magnificent story. Certainly, if Jess was ever going to react to it, we need to ensure that she does not see the old hatchet job that was the American cut, but then again, it seems like everyone’s buried that cut, and that too is lost forever, save for maybe some vhs and/or laserdisc floating about somewhere.

Geordie Joe

My suggestion for the next extra movie reaction poll is Dead Man's Shoes. An iconic British movie.

Ryan

Scream 6 and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice are doing better than I thought they would, given the massive opinion divide on them. I liked both, so that’s fine with me.

Thomas Corp

The favorable numbers for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024 A.D. are most pleasing to me. Way I’ve heard it, most everyone has had a generally favorable response to the film. Sure, on rotten tomatoes, it has lower scores from both critics and audiences than the first, but not as much as you would expect. I’m very much on board for a reaction to it. Scream 6, I’ve not seen yet. Say it wins... Well, I’ll see it, but I’m not going to be happy about one specific aspect of it; I’ll try my best to be civil about that, especially as the problem has been rectified for the next film. Still need to see Scream 5 as well, though I know the one big spoiler, plus, I could have told people who the Ghostfaces were just by the cast list for that one alone. Of course, I’m still in the minority of the third one’s my favorite of the series, despite most everyone calling it the weakest Scream film overall, it remains my favorite one.

Andrew Vignaux

I recently rewatched a feel-good Australian comedy movie and I would love to see a reaction - (a) assuming Jess hasn't seen it; and (b) assuming it's available to be watched. And I can also almost guarantee it will win a poll because it stars Sam Neill and everyone will want Jess to be happy. The Dish (2000)

Thomas Corp

Does not seem to be available to stream or rent in the states, at least not that I can see. Perhaps I am missing something. If available, you had me at Sam Neill, so I’d be in favor of seeing it.

James Fish

That is a good call. Great film, if somewhat confusing in places!

Geordie Joe

I think Jess would enjoy it. She always picks up on little details that most reactors seem to miss out on. Plus it has that Halloween slasher vibe at times which I think she would love.

Jenny Chalek

The cheesy horror movie Late Night with the Devil is making the rounds. It's a wild ride through 1970s nostalgia for some of us who were kids during the 70s. It's a mockumentary. I humbly submit it for consideration.

Thomas Corp

Haven’t seen that one yet, though it’s on my list of things to see. Especially as word of mouth about it that’s come my way has been quite favorable. Sounds like it would make for a terrific and tremendously fun reaction, so I’d be agreeable to that.

Daniel Bridger

suggestion for next poll: lemony snickets series of unfortunate events (jim carrey movie)

Ryan

Seems Mr. Ripley probably isn’t going to make it to next time, so I’ll put one in for The Wild Robot.

Thomas Corp

I have been hearing surprisingly good word of mouth about The Wild Robot. Haven’t seen it, but it sounds like it’d be a fun one to share with Jess. As to Mr. Ripley, yeah, I noticed there hasn’t been favorable numbers for Mr. Ripley. Like I mentioned, this does in a weird way encourage me on suggesting a film with another Talented Mr. Ripley when the next poll is up. Related to that, I’m likewise considering suggesting another film starring the same lead actor. In both cases, I’m not terribly optimistic on the chances of success, but I’m thinking, “You know what? I’m just going to go for it. Give it a shot.” I’m also bummed about Miller’s Crossing having done poorly, though it’s not the most tremendous surprise in the world. Ah, well. That’s just the way it crumbles, cookie-wise.

Ryan

I took a while to decide between this and Transformers One, and Wild Robot feels like a more natural fit for her.
