Regarding the numbers on the reactions on Youtube... I watch the full reactions, but I try to put the youtube playlist on and run those through on mute, 2x speed and in the background daily from now on (well, seasons 10, 11 and beyond that is)... I really want to push those numbers!

Right, so, again, I don’t see the Carry On, The Road So Far recaps on this, and the copies you have contains that. Why is this part of the show not on Netflix, is there some sort of copyright trouble with the song or something? We open by confirming that Lucifer was in fact ejected from Castiel with minimal fuss by Amara, which, well... That’s just lazy writing. Same here on not holding it against anybody for just tying one on as the end is near. Good on Sam for being the ball of optimism. Like how you kind of called Billie helping out. She seemed a bit salty that they didn’t ask her first, which, well, she didn’t exactly indicate that she would help with this shit beforehand. Same here on loving Crowley’s scenes. Love how they just hung out in the bar. If I was part of the group, I’d hope there was some food left behind in the place. The farewell scene got to you far more than it got me. Reason being that I know that this is not the day that Sam or Dean die. You did too, but you show the greater love for the show and the boys. I also was distracted by Dean giving voice to his rather interesting funeral set-up that he wants. About the only question I had about it was, “Ok, uh, any particular reason why you want Gary Busey to read the eulogy?” I likewise sort of got sidetracked over the line about no chick flick moments, makes me say, “Ah, but Dean, technically Ghost is considered a chick flick, and per your own commandment: “Swayze movie! Swayze ALWAYS gets a pass!”, remember?” (Ghost is a fantastic movie by the way.) Now to the matter of how Amara is defeated by the talking the villain down trope. When done really well, I do quite love the trope myself. Here, it is done reasonably well. A slight problem on my end is that it felt rushed. Or at least there is the thing of it felt like we didn’t get enough of Amara in this season to really sell her arc of discovery of her brother’s creation. Everything wasn’t bad, just slightly more expansion would have been appreciated. You really liked it, and that’s great, and it is nice to see God and Amara bury the hatchet. Leading to a nicer season finale than most. Or it would have been if not for the lady that’s bringing in a big part of the next season, presumably. We both did have a “Who’s this bitch!?” response to the lady at the end. Or, well, you were a bit nicer about it, and I do apologize if my response is too aggressive. Mean of the season to end on Sam seemingly shot. Then there is the final scene of the boys’ mother is now back. Welp, that’s not going to be good. So ends a solid season that I’m glad you loved. Now to the unfortunate business of the low viewing numbers. Yeah, I have been noticing that over the last year or so. Rather upsetting to see, especially since you love the show as you do, Jess. I mean, sure, you love the show more than I, but I like seeing you invest in this show, even when I may not feel entirely the same way. You do speak of the earlier seasons being the more popular. There is also the fact that Bobby and Charlie, the two BEST characters of the show have been killed off, so it does stand to reason that some fan reception would cool a mite. Combined with a few other things, and I’m not going to say what at this time, the numbers have taken a plunge, and it does hurt to see it. Good to hear you are committed to keep watching the show. You say how there was the advice to just stop. I know I advised as much about three years ago, but that was because of the copyright battle you faced then. In this instance, I stand by your decision to keep watching Supernatural. I always do try to comment on youtube. Cases like with House of the Messy, there is a fear of doing so given how toxic and loud some of the fandom gets there. Thinking about it, I also didn’t comment much on the second season of Loki, but that’s due to other reasons of a personal nature. Otherwise, you always try to find a comment to be made, particularly ones that highlight a specific part of your reaction as I know you greatly appreciate those. I just hope the views get better. I know one episode that might see a big spike, but that won’t be for a while. Meantime, all your work is much appreciated. Thank you for the lovely reaction this week. Godspeed, Jess.

Similar strategy on my end. Pull up the video on youtube, mute it, and let it run whilst I play the full reaction on the VLC player on the computer. And I leave it open to make sure I leave a comment on the youtube video when all is said and done.
