Actually, that hug between Robert and Jean-Luc just reminded me of the hug between The Doctor and Clara at the conclusion of Death In Heaven. Clara: "Why don't you like hugging, Doctor?" The Doctor: "Never trust a hug. It's just a way to hide your face." The look on Jeremy Kemp's face was soul breaking.

It does have the strong parallel to that hug shared by Twelve and Clara. Oh yeah, the look that Jeremy has during Robert’s close-up, twists the heart good. Patrick, likewise, is a bit misty eyed during Picard’s close-up, which gets you as well. One more of many things that makes this episode so good.

"I have all the specs and diagrams at home" I want to see a full episode of just Sergey on a tour of the Enterprise. I had a feeling you'd love this one Jess given your post episode thoughts for The Best of Both Worlds, Part 2. A full episode of character building with Worf and Wesley, while Picard begins to deal with the trauma of being assimilated by The Borg. That hug between the Picard brothers at the end reminds me of the 12th Doctor's quote “Never trust a hug. It's just a way to hide your face.” Helena and Sergey are great characters. You can tell they're good, kind people almost immediately after their introduction. Sergey was the Starfleet officer mentioned in the season one episode Heart of Glory, who rescued Worf after the massacre on Khitomer. "Through an act of kindness" as Worf put it. You can actually buy a real bottle of Chateau Picard. That's the wine they make at the Picard vineyard in the show. You could do a Chateau Picard taste test during a TNG reaction. It's got some pretty good reviews from what I've seen.

A full episode of Sergey on a tour of the Enterprise would make for an enjoyable episode. A bonus would be if Geordi was in charge of the tour, as I’m sure Jess would love that. Rather like how we have the shared assessment of knowing that Jess would love this one. Both Picard brothers hid their faces well. They hit the right notes with the writing and acting that Worf’s parents are instantly lovable. It is a good payoff of finally meeting the man that saved Worf for the simple reason that it was right, it was decent. And above all, it was kind. It was just that. Just kind. A wine tasting video does sound good. Sadly, when it comes to wine, my palate is either too sensitive or too sharp. In either case, I’ve yet to develop the taste for it and become a connoisseur. Nice to hear that Chateau Picard is quite good though.
