As you say, this was not an episode that took itself too seriously. Though, like you note, not the first thing you’ve reacted to that involves killing Hitler. Yeah, I don’t have much to say on this one. With you on liking Ellie. She was a nice young lady. Bizarre as hell that this is therapy for Dean. Love how you clock that Dean’s in a mood when he turns down food. Reaches SERIOUS levels when he rejects the pie, which is one for the books of a red flag that someone is going through something bad. Delightful little yelp that you had at that part. It was something how the plot of this evolved. In response to Dean saying, “Nazis. I hate these guys.”, you nodded, said, “Good take.”, to which I nodded, said, “Also a good Last Crusade reference.” There’s also Dean saying the term, “Nazi nutjobs.”, which made me say, “I believe the preferred term is “Neo-Nazi nitwits”, Dean.” Liked your encouragement for Ellie to be a touch salty and sassy when Mulhouse asks if she never shuts up. In her place, I’d take your advice, probably say something like, “Oh, I’m sorry, I’m supposed to just take this whole kidnapping what have you with quiet dignity and grace?” Found myself slightly distracted by the presentation of the bunker scene. Namely, there seemed to be a few inaccuracies there, but whatever. I knew you would hate the IV scenes. Got me as well with the shared aversion to the needles. Recall the story you reiterated. A nice lady, that nurse you described. One thing that helped distract me was being puzzled about the matching blood types, though I imagine they handwave that with the usual supernatural mumbo jumbo. Hitler brought back, that was even more over the top than if this was a Mel Brooks film, and I STILL can’t wrap my head around that one. We had the shared baffled silence to most of it, complete with the pitch perfect, “What in pluperfect FUCK am I looking at right now.” They surely made a fool out of Hitler. (“He didn’t need our help!”) Interesting how the episode reminds us that Hitler was a big dog lover, which makes a man observe, “The thing I get out of that is that Hitler loved dogs, and I don’t. ...SHIT.” Wise decision to not comment on the Twitter joke, as yeah, I know that recalls something contemporary, politics-wise, I just, just can’t seem to place it. Something to do with someone with tiny hands and a bad comb over... Nope, not getting it. Quite something when Dean has his Ash Williams moment, and then observes, “Aw, man, I shot Hitler in the face.” And as you note, Dean’s going to be insufferable about it. (Not much different than how he usually is.) Sam had his own comment. My own was, “Riding that gravy train for a while, are we?” Memorable reaction, Jess, and yeah, take the victory that there wasn’t much coughing. No problem if there was. One time I went to the theater whilst having a bad day of coughing. Watching stuff does seem to hold it back, and the times it didn’t, I had a handkerchief to half hack a lung up into and that muffled the sound. If it ever is that bad, you can have a handkerchief of your own. I won’t mind, especially as you would be prioritizing health prior to your upcoming busy season, which, by the way, I just now got word that Disney has just added to it. Thanks for the fun time with the reaction, Jess.
